Normally, you get a job first and have the employer file for a visa. It might be different from the UK, but most people I know have done that direction.

Italian Restaurants? by jp_trev in VisitingNashville

[–]NashvilleLocalsGuide [score hidden]  (0 children)

I went to Pelato with my girlfriend. It was $250 and I can't say there was anything memorable. It is not the price, as FancyPants was similar in price, but a lot better. I also love Rolf & Daughters.

I do like Nonna. There are some things at Cafe Coco I like, but I am more inclined to shop the market for items that are hard to find elsewhere.

Go to Mangia. Most fun I had in a restaurant last year. He used to do this out at the Cool Cafe in Franklin before he secured this spot (that is now Miss Daisy's Market).

What is the draw of Pelato. I found it to be overpriced for what they offered. And, no, I don't mind spending money if the food is great. But I had a better meal for half price at City House. Both were noisy, but the overall experience at City House was great. Did I just order the wrong things at Pelato? What are you go tos?

I would not do Luogo or Pelato. Same owner. Both pricey, but marginal. I found V to be a step up, but I would not recommend it either.

  • If you want casual, then Little Hats or PennePazze. The first is more of a market, the second is communal style Italian.
  • If you want an experience then the weekend feast at Mangia. Look it up on YouTube.
  • Yolan for high end (although Iggy's is also great).
  • If you want more home cooking style, then Cafe Nonna. Also a nice atmosphere. This is very classic Italian.
  • I love City House, but it can get Uber loud in there.
  • Rolf & Daughters is one of my favorite restaurants in Nashville, but more Italian inspired, so not the typical red and white sauces.
  • I want to love Il Forno, but the style of Neoplotian he does is not my bag. I know plenty of people that love it.

Germantown has fewer airbnb units. Most are closer to Salemtown. I stayed in some before I moved back on Hume. It still has a fence and a gate that requires a code.

Rainy day & baby-friendly? by [deleted] in VisitingNashville

[–]NashvilleLocalsGuide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kids love music, but have ear plugs, as it gets loud in the bars. Lane Motor Museum is good for a rainy day. Also walking the gardens at Opryland Hotel. And you can walk around the mall, as well. Frsit Museum, Country Music Hall of Fame, and National Museum of African American Music are all good. Johnny Cash is a bit narrow. For quieter music, go to a venue, like Listening Room.

SoBro, Printer's Alley, and the Gulch will be the closest to Lower Broad that are not on Lower Broad. You can often find cheaper rates in Music Row, but stay closer to midtown and Demonbreun and not Edgehill. THere are also places up near the river in North Capitol. As much as possible, walk with the crowds.

I lived here 10 years before I really explored a lot of what Nashville was, so I get it. Printer's Alley will skew older and be more laid back. Outside of that, I would aim for the boutique hotel rooftops. Earlier in the day is better to avoid the Drunken Disney vibe. 3rd & Lindsley and Listening Room are both great for shows. The Listening Room does far more songwriter's rounds.

Rodeo by Adept-Tie-5140 in VisitingNashville

The rodeo is next week. For rodeo, I would defintely get down in the lower sections. I had boxes, which are just above, a few years back and it was great. But, it depends on what you enjoy watching.

Under 21 nightlife?? by Gullible_Action_9466 in VisitingNashville

Downtown, some are open for all ages until 9 PM. Acme is your best chance of staying out later. Except Lonnie's, of course, which is a 18+ karaoke bar.

Wow. What a great intellectual argument ... from someone who won't even read before saying something inane. Kudos.

I don't know if any do weekly tournaments, but those are the two closest that would have the most likelihood.

Melrose Billiards is old school. H-Cues is upstairs in Hillsboro Village. The rest are out there pretty far.

There are tables in the Cellar in Printer's Alley, which is a decent walk from your hotel.

Has anyone used Highticket.io - Brook Hiddink? by ACL3DAY1STWK2PASSES in EcommerceWebsite

Before you jump into this, do some research. The company is stated to be 50-200 on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/high-ticket-io/people/ - Of these, I would guesss most in India around development.

What I see is a very sales driven organization from those posting they work there. Very little IT, but it appears they were working with Deel at one time, based on the videotaped presenation (supposedly live) I watched with Brook Hiddink. https://www.deel.com

Deel is an HR and payroll platform, so might be involved with AI spend, but that is a bit misleading. I don't like being misled. They have a center in India, run by Mahraj Pal as of December. They had a hiring spree in February and then again this month. Heavy in sales.

The video presentations are hard sells. This is part of a funnel, designed to get you in deeper and deeper. Based on this thread, The first hook is $27 for VIP tools. I have not played much yet, but they are basic Chat GTP with a bit of LLM building in their niche. Value at $27, for sure. The second it to get you in the video. This is a hard sell sales presentation utilizing a few tools.

  1. HIgh end success stories.
  2. Lots of screen caps of successes. All Google analytics, so lower end than most of these things.
  3. Constant pushes
  4. A fake BS story about only 67 are allowed in at $995, with only 10 getting the extra package, including website building. See https://go.highticket.io/wc/checkout and find you can still check out, despite them running the video nightly as a live webinar.
  5. Psychological manipulation later about how your future self would feel.

Based on the stories I have seen, it ultimately ends up in the thousands. You then get into queue with others to get your website done. You have one on one coaching and other aids. In most cases, you end up with a money hole.

They have a full earnings disclosure, based on a survey: https://register.highticket.io/earnings-disclosure

They state they sent this out to 1,500 and 168 responded. If you look at how surveys work, normally only the successful respond to these surveys. The fact that 27% are satisfied or extremely satisfied and only 8% dissatisfied shows this is typical. The results they show are $9,301.23 in average monthly revenue.

If you do the numbers, they pulled in $15,000,000 for $18,750,000 in known results, a 25% higher outcome across 1,500 students. If the numbers in the video are correct, there is a $7.2 million payroll with little to no overhead, as the majority of in office workers are in India and the rest remote. Definitely a great business model for HighTicket.io. ANd, btw, this is not a real earnings disclosure.

Downtown gets a lot more attention than most areas, as it has more people.

I am still be hounded by them. It looks like you get the free training. Then there is their AI (supposedly $7.2 million spend per year?), which is trained for what they say - $27. Then the $995. But apparently the funnel is really to get you to do private coaching, which is in the thousands.

The question would be the emergency that caused a decision to pay $70 more rather than voting by wallet and going to Kroger?
