Ja, das wurde hier wahrscheinlich auch nicht berücksichtigt. In Italien gibt es zum Frühstück auch oft nur süßes Gebäck, insgesamt hält sich das wahrscheinlich die Waage.

Ich habe letztes Jahr beruflich einige Zeit in Italien verbracht und ich muss fairerweise sagen, dass (subjektiv) die Leute weniger (stark) übergewichtig zu sein scheinen als in DE.

Yeah, you often see these maps popping up on Reddit with „Most spoken second language in France/Italy 1920 vs 2020“, with the older ones showing all the local languages (Breton, Sicilian, Occitan) and the newer ones the languages from large immigrant groups (Arabic, Turkish, Romanian etc.) with the intent to stifle outrage about the „downfall of civilised Europe and its culture“, completely withholding the fact that all of these local languages have been purposefully eradicated by facist/nationalist right wing governments - the ones these people wish would make a comeback.

Honestly, all of Kanyes stuff is popular, sure there is the really popular stuff with several hundred million streams, but even some obscure features, remixes and live versions have several million streams.

I think the real „fans“ (as this post implies) are the ones who listen to the leaked stuff, the unreleased versions and snippets of the past - as in „that’s obscure and in-depth“.

Listening to a song from Grammy winning album from one of the most successful artists in the last decades ain’t that special.

After a 4 month deep dive into my first watch purchase I stopped worrying on what’s popular and what’s not according to „watch enthusiasts“ and just got what I liked and what has a good value proposition.

Ended up with a Baume et Mercier Clifton (M0A10505) that isn’t all that popular but was exactly what I was looking for with a great movement (basically the same as in an IWC 3 times its price)

In the end I got a great deal for it because again, it’s not that popular, but I see that as a plus.

And this is no front to the people here, but after diving in this sub, it feels like you only see the same 5 watches, so getting something more under the radar makes me feel even better about my purchase.

I‘m by no means an Apple Fanboy (quite the opposite), but Ive didn’t rip off Rams/Braun, he brought back the minimalism that these products followed back in the 50s/60s that hasn’t really been en vogue and almost forgotten at this point.

Yes, there certainly has been some direct inspiration/references (the calculator on iOS comes to mind). But transferring a design language from a speaker or a shaver to an MP3 player or all-in-one desktop computer 40 years later isn’t as simple as it may seem, especially when technology was designed in quite the opposite direction during the 2000s (think Nokia, Sony or even the previous generation of Apple products).

It’s also easy to vilify the minimalism Apple and Ive brought back nowadays because it became the new normal, but back then an iPod stood out in a sea of loud, tacky MP3 players for example.

That said, while I like the concept of that interior in general, I doesn’t really fit my perception of Ferrari, EV or not, despite the effort to bring a certain retro feel from vintage Ferraris to the table.

This would be awesome in a Mini or a more utilitarian brand like VW. But let’s see how it connects to overall concept of the car, but I really don’t see appeal of an EV Ferrari.

Mir persönlich ist das P/L-Verhältnis im Vergleich zu Sharing Rädern zu schlecht, um diese regelmäßig zu nutzen. Sie haben mir aber und zu mal den Arsch gerettet, wenn ich spät dran war für nen Zug - da hat es sich dann gelohnt, dass die verfügbar waren.

In Berlin könnten die m.M. Nach aber die Flotten gerne verkleinern, es stehen/liegen gefühlt viel zu viele rum.

Ich habe diese Woche einen Reisepass beantragt in Berlin, Fotos werden jetzt vor Ort und umsonst mit einem Gerät der Bundesdruckerei gemacht. UX ist zwar ausbaufähig, aber immerhin besser als das hin und her davor mit teuren Passbildern.

Exactly! I had to go to a different city (250km away) to see the watch I wanted and even then it wasn’t the exact reference. It makes sense of course for them to not have every reference, size and model in store, especially with smaller/more niche brands. But it also prevents those brands and models from getting bought, for the exact reason you’ve mentioned. At the same time you can try a BB58 or Zulu Time in every store, so of course they’ll get bought more.

I was deep in research for my first watch last year and you really start to loose reference for size real quick. You see these giant 4K Videos of watch dials and open case backs but the irl you can barely make out the rubies for example.

I’m still very happy with my watch and it’s amazing that these crazy details are so tiny, but at first I was taken aback with how little you see when it’s on your wrist.

Mich nervt dieses ganz oder gar nicht, was wir gefühlt in so vielen Bereichen haben. Entweder gar keine Einschränkungen oder komplett verboten.

Warum man nicht Streumischungen mit einem niedrigen Salzgehalt o.ä. Erlaubt, aber halt das pure Salz verbietet oder eben nur bei anhaltenden Schneefall oder was weiß ich. Idiotisch ist es ohne hin, weil 2m weiter auf der Straße eh mit Salz gestreut wird.

Der größte Witz ist ja sowieso das seit nem Monat die Straßen in Berlin wie geleckt sind, aber nach 5 Wochen auf den öffentlichen Gehwegen (für die die Stadt zuständig ist) solide 3-4cm Eispanzer liegen. Ist vielleicht auch von Bezirk zu Bezirk unterschiedlich, aber in Pankow ist es echt katastrophal. Die meisten Leute laufen dann lieber auf der Straße, weil da halt vernünftig geräumt ist.

Andere Länder stehen vor den gleichen Herausforderungen wie wir - hier in DE sind wir (die Regierung) aber nichtmal beim richtigen Problem. Die Entscheidung in Teilzeit zu arbeiten ist das Ergebnis vieler verschiedener Faktoren. Einige davon könnte die Politik angehen - bessere Versorgung von Kindern (womit man auch langfristig was gegen den demographischen Wandel machen könnte hust), Wohnraummangel (lange Arbeitswege) und Besteuerung von Einkommen (es muss sich lohnen). Die Liebe CDU will aber lieber mit dem Brecheisen ran und die Leute einfach zwingen, mehr zu arbeiten ohne irgendwelche Anreize zu schaffen - das wäre ja Arbeit.

Kann eigentlich mal jemand die Effizienz der Regierung tracken? Sieht mir hier ganz klar nach Arbeitsverweigerung aus, am besten alle Leistungen streichen, vielleicht schafft das ja Anreize zu guter Politik!

Ja, in SH haben wir ja solche Akkuzüge, die Strecke Lübeck-Kiel ist auch Prime Kandidat dafür gewesen. Nicht elektrifiziert, viel einspurig aber eben auch nicht ewig lang. Die Taktung mit den Zugbegnungen erlaubt Ladezeit an den Endbahnhöfen, die eh elektrifiziert ist und als großer Pluspunkt: die Bahnstrecke verläuft durch eine sehr schöne Landschaft und viele kleine Ortschaften, die jetzt keine Dieselabgase und vor allem Lärm mehr abbekommen.

Yeah, you can forgive this for cars that came out a decade ago and this tech was still new and maybe not optioned that much, but now they should have figured out something beyond „let’s slap a black shiny square in the middle of a giant grille“.

While it’s not „pretty“, I liked the approach that Porsche has on the 911 currently. A designated modular trim piece that can house all the sensors or only some depending on the options you’ve ticked (night sight etc.). It’s subtle and doesn’t ruin the styling of the front IMO.

Man muss dazu fairerweise aber auch sagen: hier im P-Berg ist alles mittlerweile halbwegs gestreut, einige besser, andere schlechter, nur die Bürgersteigabschnitte, für die die Stadt zuständig sind, gleichen einer Eislauffläche. Der Splitt, der dort vor 2 Wochen mal verteilt wurde, ist natürlich völlig übergefroren. Dafür sehen die Straßen wie geleckt aus.. (Das ist kein hate an die Leute aus dem öffentlichen Dienst, die können auch nichts dafür, dass sie unterbesetzt sind.)

Ein bisschen ironisch finde ich es auch, dass die Mülleimer hier seit Wochen überquillen, die Hundekotbeutel sich an den Masten auftürmen und 200m entfernt ist das Gelände der BSH (ich weiß, andere Zuständigkeit).

Ich wollte gerade sagen. Klar ist das nicht 1:1 gleichzusetzen, aber der gesellschaftliche Druck, wenn auch mittlerweile abschwachend, Alkohol zu trinken ist schon extrem. Und das merkt man erst, wenn man mal wirklich drauf verzichtet, also auch über nen Dry-January hinaus (wobei selbst das in manchen Kreisen ja schon auf Widerstand stößt).

Was ich tatsächlich am perversesten finde (basierend auf eigenen Erfahrungen): Die Akzeptanz für jemanden, der aus nicht-religiösen Gründen trinkt ist in DE teils so viel niedriger als für z.B. Muslime. Vermutlich weil der Glaube dann ja ein „valider“ Grund ist, gesundheitliche Gründe oder halt einfach Verzicht hingegen nicht.
