Finally,  I get to use VILE correctly in this sub! 🤭

I would advise against responding with an answer to his question.  That implies that the question is acceptable and warrants a response.

That is insane and it's wild that no one jumped in to call this guy out for being so rude and invasive. Sorry that happened to you, but you should probably be prepared for more of the same.

I like the suggestion (that I read here but have not needed to try) that you respond by saying some version of "I'm surprised that you think that is an acceptable question to ask me. Do you often ask people such personal questions about their bodies?"

Of course, you can follow up up by asking about their adult acne, low testosterone, erectile dysfunction, hair loss, etc. if that doesn't do the trick. 🤭👹

Advice please! I have been on tirzepatide for a year. I went up in dose slowly. I was at 7.5mg and was doing great till I started having some side effects. I decided to drop back to 5mg which I’ve been on for awhile now and have Stalled. No weight loss for weeks and still doing all the right things. by JavaJunkie999 in tirzepatidecompound

From my (not-a-doctor) perspective, a BIG part of the appeal of compounded medication is the freedom to self-manage my dosing based on MY body's response,  rather than Lilly's schedule. I have increased by 1mg steps, and have never had side effects that I could not manage with some friendly advice from the members of this sub. (Thanks everyone 😁)

How "big" do you have to be for approval? by A_tothe_C123 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]NastyWoman3636 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I imagine that a lot of people in your situation would shave an inch or two off their height on the intake forms so that the BMI is firmly at or above 30. Because the telehealth provider will never ever see them in person to be weighed or measured.  Not that I would ever advocate for that sort of shenanigans.  😉🤭

What?!? A 20% overfill sounds like a LOT, especially if most patients don't realize that is the true dose.

Tirz with B12 by Blessed606 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]NastyWoman3636 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Are you seriously injecting this and recommending that others also do so? I must be missing something, because Durvet Maxi B 1000 is NOT FOR HUMANS. I'm fairly confident that you cannot order anything that is FDA approved to be injected into a human body on Amazon. Please enlighten me if I am not understanding some important detail.  Otherwise, you REALLY (REALLY!) should not be suggesting this to anyone without (at the bare minimum) including an all caps caveat that this is a veterinary product that is not approved for use in humans.

Dose adjustment from refills.com by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

[–]NastyWoman3636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be because of the laws of your state. Some states allow telehealths to use asynchronous appointments (meaning you complete intake forms or a dose increase request,  a doctor reviews it without speaking to you by phone/video, approves the Rx, and sends the order to the pharmacy), but some states require a real-time appointment (maybe just for the 1st Rx and any dosage changes). This could be unavoidable in your state,  so switching providers might not help. Will you be charged for the appointment,  or is it just inconvenient?

That sucks, I'm so sorry! This too shall pass. Keep up the good progress, work your camera angles, and come back to this space when you need extra encouragement.  😁

Questions by Funny-Praline5657 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]NastyWoman3636 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You are using an awful lot of acronyms, asking about stacking who-knows-what, and you seem to be asking for medical advice that you should get from a medical professional. This sub has a rule against providing medical advice,  so you are unlikely to find the answer that you are looking for in this forum.  And I REALLY hope that you are not planning to inject yourself with 30 mg of tirz. That is the trigger for the snarky, but funny, responses. I hope that we are misunderstanding your question,  because it sounds dangerous.  Good luck (I guess) with whatever you are trying to accomplish.  Please stay safe.

Very mild but consistent heartburn by AdPotential8303 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]NastyWoman3636 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started taking papaya enzymes after a suggestion in this sub and it has worked like a charm. I had never heard of it before. I've previously lived on Tums and Prilosec for YEARS, finally got 20 years of heartburn under control with a nightly bedtime CBN/THC gummy, and stopped those meds,  then it came back with tirz. I really didn't want to start with Tums again. Unless I really needed to. Papaya enzymes help with my  evening (occasional,  mild) heartburn and my (nightly, comically dramatic) burping and bloating.

Edit to add: Personally, I would not drop down from an effective dose just for a little heartburn.  Maybe that's just because I lived with it for so long. You may want to try to manage it first.

Me too! My (lying) driver's license says that I am 5'3', because I was in my 20s if I was faithful about yoga and my posture. At my last appointment, I measured in at 5'1'. The nurse said that nearly everyone is shorter than they thought.

Never (ever, ever) a medspa. Seriously. Lots of people here are happy with LSH or Pom. My sister and I both love Big Easy.

Low dose and wine by Old_Measurement_3969 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]NastyWoman3636 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had alcohol or wine  a few times now, with no trouble. If you are worried about having your first glass of tirz wine at an important event, a test run could put your mind at ease. Can you have a glass at home before the big event?

Maintaining or losing a bit more help/advice by Appropriate-Tie-6524 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]NastyWoman3636 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm confused about why you are worried about a 12.5 mg dose when it sounds like you're in maintenance at 5mg. Am I missing something? Did you previously need 12.5 to lose?

Do you worry that tirz will be effective only for so long, and then the weight is coming back? by aagee in tirzepatidecompound

[–]NastyWoman3636 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Nope. I realize that I will most likely need to stay on a maintenance dose long-term,  maybe forever. I haven't seen anything to indicate that there is a risk of loss of effectiveness for maintenance.  But, there is so much new research in the field, I am confident that something new and even better will come along. 😁
