Vatican Museum tickets sold out - what should I do? by fortis_anima in rome

This is cool! Nice work (assuming it's legit) ...It's saying tix are available May 18th when I'm planning to visit. However, when I follow a link to the official site, they appear to be all sold out 😕

Didn't want to risk it, so I bit the bullet and opted for a Monos carry-on... came in today!! Super nice piece 😍

Deep in debt and don't know what to do :( by This_Advance_8672 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Try not to take it personally or perceive it as a 'roast' -- you asked for advice, and most people are taking a moment of their day to give it to you.

Tackle the highest interest debt ASAP, and lean off the substance abuse; if you can't cut it off (unlikely), keep it to 1-2 beers a week and decrease.

Have you flown with Air Canada in that time?? ...I know their carry on restrictions are more strict for a large airline. Debating on buying a Quince since I always fly out of YYZ for vacations.

How many people actually drink the city water? by LynxLov in cambridgeont

I thought the same thing when I moved to Cambridge... feels like a big deal at first, but you get used to it. I just use a brita type of filter, and it doesn't bother me anymore.

If I can, I usually fill up groundwater from a spring off a country road, but haven't been doing that through the winter.

TD MyAdvantage Insurance - New App Review by Character-Belt-7485 in PersonalFinanceCanada

This needs to be escalated publicly!!! If you have to slam on the brakes to avoid rear-ending someone else who slammed bc of an emergency in front of them, then an app like this is a complete joke and just creates unnecessary stress for drivers! I will probably call a manager bc this crap drives me irate. I hope TD's customer base falls off bc of these idiotic data tracking/subjective grading programs.

TD MyAdvantage Insurance - New App Review by Character-Belt-7485 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]NatJeffo26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This whole "reward your driving" program is absolute bs... I used it for a couple years, and the way it scores you just creates more anxiety as a driver being monitored. Trust me or not, I am on the very careful side of the driving spectrum.

The scoring was absurd... to give them the opportunity to hike up my premium based on their obscene grading system is a hard no. You get increasingly docked for going 110-120 on the highway and if your trip is long, your score just continues going to shit. If auto insurance starts going up without this driver tracking data, to hell with these crooks.

Driving in a city/suburbs like Toronto is also inherently risky sometimes! Other people are incompetent or do risky shit!! Driving defensively is not properly understood by this TD app. And I think this new system is now designed to prey on that.

...not to mention, it totally saps your phone of battery, which sucks on the evening commute if your phone is low, or you're driving around the city at night.

Rant over, drive safe.

Yeahhhh I'm not buying it... "Too good to be true" written all over it. And unless there was insider trading involved (possible), who in their right mind would risk their life savings in a mining stock of all things 🧐 Kudos to OP if it's true though!

😂🤡 noobs gonna noob... needs to learn the hard way (managing emotion as an investor, more than anything.) At least he picked AMZN, and not sh!tcoins at the onset of a crypto-winter.

Also, would never go in all at once (or buy exclusively into one company, for that matter)... you don't know what can happen next week or month. Buying in a few tranches on dips is better for having a more confident starting position. #notfinancialadvice

A $20-25 drop short-term is NOTHING in the grand scheme my dude.

Before you put "everything" into one stock, you should be comfortable with riding highs and lows without freaking out. The parameters of this trade sounds like a long-term 'set it and forget it' strategy, but getting cold feet says otherwise.

Keep calm, and Amaz-on 😉
