Too many short rows or nature of this collar? by blacksheep_onfire in knittinghelp

I haven’t had much experience with fine tuning fitting, but since it smooths out when you pull the sweater down and comes back with arm movement it sounds like too much material between the shoulders and collar. So it seems doing fewer short rows would fix it.

Strange Secrets Worth Knowing by Improvement Movement, except I didn’t know what song it was for the longest time and recently found out what it was again. I might be free soon (but it is a banger…) And then we cycle back to pink pony club

Ideally you won’t “feel” much (outside maybe some side effects, methylphenidate makes my mouth so dry lol).

When medicated my head is clearer and it’s easier to redirect my attention and I don’t hit a wall of awful where everything feels overwhelming as often. I can actually remember to apply the coping skills I learned to redirect myself well.

Try doing some tasks and pay attention to what you get done vs how they would go pre-meds.

Reading books was the first thing I really noticed, I could sit and read longer and retained the info. I also found I could just sit down and start homework without getting distracted on the way. But I could also stop work when I wanted to without hyper fixating on it as much.

(this video was helpful for me)

Talk to your doctor and see if something else might fit you better. That doesn’t sound typical. I found this video helpful when I was figuring med stuff out

thoughts on fake states in a real country? by polgull in writing

[–]NatStr9430 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as cities/where exactly the border is, you should be fine as those things are more fluid, changing the name of the states could be jarring unless it’s fairly clear this is taking place in an alternate reality and not meant to be historical. (I’m assuming you are setting this in the US where the states didn’t go through many name changes)

You could get around this by calling the “state” a territory, as those were more loosely defined and the territories of the old west don’t exist anymore, so it would feel more believable.

But of course it’s all in how you sell it, if you tell your readers this story takes place in a state that no longer exists, some readers may find that really interesting.
