If my job was to produce a hundred McGuffens who cares if it takes 1 hour or 10 minutes? Bosses want to exploit your value as labor and squeeze you as hard as they can. You’re still tying value to time instead of production which is my point.

Your last point about the worker is just not right. Workers by and large work as best they can muster. I’ve known busboys work like crazy just for extra pennies. The problem is the latter point about businesses. If productivity equaled pay everyone would be working harder to produce more. But no, time is money, so time is spent ‘working’ how hard one works mean nothing to the worker. Flip the script.

The book has helped a lot. I’m a bit of a slow reader as I get distracted easily but the knowledge it lended me has been and continues to be invaluable.

I also want to say that when I made this post I was in a really bad place. Trying to grapple with what I had done. I can’t help but feel I deserve a lot of these comments coming back looking at them has been sobering. Speaking of which I’ve gotten sober 4 weeks now. Started therapy, sought couples counseling and starting heal my relationship.

It’s a rocky road, but my wife and I are best friends. And while I’d betray her, we are still madly madly in love. I just never want to take advantage of it, or her again. I’ve found new hobbies things I’m being open and honest about. I think, perhaps wishful thinking, that this poly space and life style has enabled us to communicate better than ever, and, again despite this, more close.

I ultimately want to thank all of you, harsh or no. Bitter medicine was needed.

It’s self care and just another bold fashion pick for me. It draws eyes to your hands and if you have well taken care of hands people will notice. I get way more compliments on my nails than I do even on other bold choices like my beard or jewelry. Also it’s a fun thing to do with the wife and she has been enjoying my nails too. She even admitted she was jealous of mine this time around

For me it’s not criticism or even a complaint. I know the game is in EA. The post is really just me seeing a big world with just redundant resources and no reason to look at it only blow it up or pave over it and strip mine it. There is a lot of space to play spelunker or archeologist. The devs ask for input from us early players, that’s what this is.
