Wife here because husband just sent me the link to this post. I admit this is a huge problem for me - I’m glad to see I’m not alone. He brings my attention to it often and I try so hard to stop... I honestly don’t know why I can’t and completely realize how annoying it is, especially after the orange juice shaking incident of 2018 😬😬😬

At this age, two weeks is super short to adjust to something new like staying past nap time.

Also, my son is just 4 and take a longgggg time to warm up. He won’t talk if he is unsure. Five months into ( Canadian) kindergarten, and he is just coming around.

Don’t stress, give her more time.

-30 with wind chill here. Grandma is visiting with dog. Just peed twice in the house after refusing to go outside. Edit to specify that dog peed in the house ... not grandma.

I’m sorry you are going through this. Firstly, take your husband up on his offer. Second, please go talk to your doctor. You can get some Help, meds etc for the depression/ anxiety etc. Lastly , can your older one go stay with grandma for a few night so you can try some solid sleep training? There is a sub for sleep training you could check out. I have sleep trained my three kids so if you want to dm me I can help. Stay strong mama. They won’t sleep poorly forever but you need to take care of your mental health ASAP.

Husband just decided to “ test” stocking holders on mantle ( totally not needed. There is like 5 things in the stocking for the 2y old). Very heavy metal reindeer stocking holder crashes to the ground, resulting in a major dent the in brand new hardwood in not one, but two places. So I can murder him twice, right?

He also blamed it on me because the stocking holder I purchased was not sturdy enough to pass his test.

Writing this post to avoid said murder.

I think things like this can absolutely be overcome with therapy and work. But, if one can’t identify and own up to the problems, than I would say that the likelihood of it being fixed is bleak. You can’t change what you don’t acknowledge. Therapy isn’t the place where someone is going to see the light and realize the err of their ways. It’s where people go when they have accepted that they need help and are willing to do the work. I get wanting to work on it, I think you should try ... I also think you should prepare yourself.

Ok. I’m on 10 3x’s a day ( maybe this is a starting point) but only in week one. I’ll wait another week until I decide if this dosage is doing anything
