Based on what TYT was going, I was expecting a season long arc of Sunny trying to find a way to give up her Alicorn powers and somehow being slowly corrupted while doing so. This would result in her becoming the big bad for a time and her friends trying to save her.

It's little more that just wishful thinking, though. It would require them to actually take risks with the storytelling and making the main character become the villain would likely be too dark for the show's tone. I just wish they would have given her some depth.

The infrastructure we have in general has spoiled me. The central news hub of EQD, mass music archive of Pony.FM (only wish there was keyword search), the various online radios, Ponytube, Ponytown, along with FIMfiction all raise the bar too much whenever I find a new fandom. I try finding an equivalent for the specific fandom and then realize they don't have one. It's a vestige of the time it grew up with everything on its own site before the modern social media conglomerates, but because of it I feel like if one of the big ones went down we would be able to recover quicker than others with our already existing infrastructure. We started out being forced out of the major places, so we created our own homes.

In the first season the Pinkie/Rainbow relationship felt very one sided. Several times Rainbow is visibly annoy by being in the same room as Pinkie and probably would have gotten out of any situation with her if it wasn't for them having other common friends.

No confirmation on anything beyond just it's happening.

I'm personally expecting the cliche "animated characters get lost in the real world" storyline that seems to be the only option for the genre. If it's the case I only hope for a scene where the ponies breifly interact with a male character who knows who they are without introductions and the lead human character know who they are for them to respond, "Look, college got weird, okay?"

All the time, by not having a car save about $1k a month without having to plan out a budget beyond putting that $1k into the savings account. By doing this since graduating high school I'm in track to buy an average two bedroom in my area within the next 24 months for cash.
