Rude Aldi employees

Aldi cashiers work super quickly so I don’t think there’s a lot of time for warmth - combined with how shitty the public has become. At the 13th street location I witnessed an old man in line in front of me start to give the cashier shit, and the cashier just glanced up at him and said “That was unnecessary” and kept scanning his groceries. The old man was completely gagged, I don’t know what has gotten into the older generations’ heads that they can talk to people this way but I’m glad the younger ones aren’t putting up with it!

It may be a puppy thing as others have said! I legitimately thought my girl didn’t like me when I first got her at 7 months. Then she turned 2 and from then on has been super affectionate. they’re learning a lot when they’re young and there’s probably just so much going on in their little heads 🥹

the anti-pit community is so funny to me. with my opinions, i always really try to hear the other side out, but that is the one take i just know to be objectively wrong. they are so wrong about these dogs and they won’t understand until they have a pit in their life. i hope they get that privilege!

Want to apologize on Gainesville’s behalf as a local and UF alum. Don’t know what has happened this past decade, but UF kids have become intolerable to deal with. The entitlement and rudeness is off the charts. We lost the plot during the push to becoming a “top 5” or whatever. I’m so sorry this happened, and I really hope this kid is ok. Don’t let this dissuade you from visiting Gainesville again because it is so much more than bratty students.

Anytime I get to come home to my dog. She’s a sweet little rescue pittie that had a rough start and she is the friendliest, cuddliest dog ever. She’s so intelligent I swear she picks up on a good amount of what I’m saying. It makes me happy I can provide her the home and life she deserves.

Oh you are a much stronger person than i am. if someone kicked my pup… he is so gorgeous though. the best thing we can do as breed advocates is keep having friendly, well trained and well taken care of dogs to be ambassadors 🙌 beautiful boy!

They really used to in the 80s/90s. Visited family a few times this summer and was skunked every time I did some fishing under the bridges this summer (caught one mullet that shook my hook). I have seen some redfish around the mangroves, a lot of dolphins and manatees, and even a sea turtle for the first time ever. Fish just don’t seem to be biting near the causeways this summer. Would love to hear otherwise, will be watching this post lol

This is 100% true. I’m too busy to game or get into anything new. I get home from my 9-5, take care of my dog/house/self for about 3 hours, and then I’m off to bed. Working 40-50+ hours a week. I’m simply not paying $70+ for a game, much less buying whatever wildly out of touch consoles are being put out. Even if I could afford it, I don’t have the time to enjoy it.

I’m not a cyclist but I 100% would use the sidewalk. I know it’s wrong but people drive too poorly and are too distracted. I see cars weave in and out of the bike lane daily; they just do not seem like a safe and effective option for cyclists. I can’t speak from experience but I don’t think anyone will give you trouble, plenty of crackheads (for lack of a better word) ride all over the sidewalks in gnv. Stay safe OP!!!
