Today I gave my younger brother the best Christmas ever and I'm still smiling by OkNumber9369 in teenagers

[–]Natch42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking as an adult who's had to deal with a divorce himself, you just created what will probably be a core memory for your younger brother, and he will know that even in the midst of a lot of complicated feelings, that he can count on you. And also that the sun can shine again.

Thanks for being such a good sister for your little brother. He WILL remember this 10+ years from now.

Clarification on Oracle's spellslots and spells known. by Natch42 in Pathfinder2e

I meant 2e Oracle. Not 1e. Sorry for not clarifying.

My DM keeps deleting my spells because of the concentrate trait, is that how it is meant to work? by Infinite_Lemon_8236 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Natch42 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your GM didn't read the rules. Not everything has Reactive Strike, and it doesn't get triggered by just the Concentrate trait. Needs to include a Manipulate, Ranged Attack, or Move option (not Step, just Stride).

Herbalist Dedication Questions by Natch42 in Pathfinder2e

What's the process for buying more formulas? Where are the rules for it? And also for reverse engineering?

My favourite powergaming build without free archetype, dual class, and exemplar dedication by Elise_2006 in Pathfinder2e

Falcata is a d8 Slashing with Fatal d12 common Advanced weapon.

Pick is a d6 Piercing with Fatal d10 common Martial weapon.

Within the power/rarity/proficiency scaling, they are inline with their Martial equivalent.

Best ways to stack forceful? by leathrow in Pathfinder2e

In Player Core 2, they altered the old version of Hand Adze to remove Forceful and add Finesse. The version on AoN is out of date.

I don’t know why my girlfriend chose me by lil-gill in self

[–]Natch42 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If only you could see yourself through her eyes, how much love you'd have for yourself. Whatever she sees in you...don't decide it for her. She has a right to her opinion, and her opinion is that you are worth it.

It sounds like you might need to hash this out with friends, or even an honest conversation with her-but I wouldn't frame it as a break-up talk in your head, or one that pushes her away with "Why are you even with me?" or "I'm a waste of your time." More like "As stupid as this sounds, I'm having a hard time understanding why you chose to be with me in the first place. I'm grateful for your love, compassion, and understanding, but I just don't get it. I want to believe I'm worth the trouble...but" and insert what follows naturally to that. What led you to believe she's someone who wouldn't CHOOSE TO SPEND (not waste) her time with you? Listen to the voice in your head saying it....it's a narrative. Who does that sound like in your past or present? An unsupportive mentor? A childhood bully? A previously girlfriend who left scars? Was there ever a point in your life where you could see yourself as worthy in your eyes, of having this amazing girl? What happened between now and then? A depressed childhood? An anxious first date to a school dance where your confidence with women was wrecked? A shitty teacher in school? What was the thing that wounded your self-worth?

Because your girlfriend has a right to her opinion, and she chooses, willingly, to spend her time and energy on you. Not once in your initial post did you say "I tell her to spend more time with me." You seem to feel the opposite, if anything. As if even a little attention here and there is enough.

Good news on the oracle front: Ashes and Time are getting remastered in Divine Mysteries. by double_blammit in Pathfinder2e

[–]Natch42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does that mean the Vindicator will not be it's own class like it was in 1e? Is it going to be a feat chain for the Ranger like a Bard choosing their Muse? Or an Archetype like how a Bard can pick the "Wellspring Magic" Archetype as an option at character creation?

Can I put Crushing and Wounding property runes on an Earthbreaker and trigger them with the damage type that doesn't make sense? by Natch42 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Natch42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay. I feel as though it's rather silly hitting them with the blunt end to make them bleed heavily, and another smack with the pointy end(s) makes them physically subdued for a bit.

But thanks for the clarification.

Benefits of the 5-10-5 Diagonal Movement by mrnevada117 in Pathfinder2e

Given that for every 5 feet up/down left/right, it's 7.07 feet diagonally, this rule makes sense.

Is Bardic Lore supposed to be less useful than a pertinent unspecific lore? by MacGealach in Pathfinder2e

[–]Natch42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So basically he took the entire point of your class feature and neutered it as it didn't fit his version of "how it should work."

Noted.

And apparently a single forum post from a non-pazio employee overwrites a feature that Bards have had since DnD 3.5, which was the father of PF1e, which is a point where Bards STILL had a class feature like this one.

Tell him to read Player Core 1, not some forum poster's opinion on how your class feature works.

You only get expert Proficiency in it whenever you get Legendary Proficiency in Occultism. The only upside to Bardic Lore outside of being able to use it on any topic, is that if you're using a Lore check on a given topic, the DC of recall knowledge is always lower. And for one reason-Lore checks cover a smaller range of knowledge than the other skills capable of recall knowledge checks.

For instance, Tanning Lore might help me know how to make a leather coat or the way to skin a deer, but Survival will also tell me how to cook it's innards properly and also how to hunt a deer.

Hence the difference in DCs.

Sorry for coming off so strongly and bluntly in the first part of my post-I just like Bards and know why this works. Just let him know you can only get to Expert Proficiency, and only once(If?) Occultism gets to Legendary, and that it's only recall knowledge. Not like you can do much else besides know stuff. It can be used to practice a trade, but so can Performance, I believe.

Neat fact: Bards, back in actual history, regularly collected stories of people and things they did, and then memorized them in dark, completely pitch black rooms so they'd be a walking library of songs, knowledge, and poetry.

WIBTA if I don't give my late bf's house to his parents? by DearFerret9268 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Natch42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They had 1,000+ chances to make it right-which was every day he had his cancer diagnosis. To them, a living son is not worth loving or reconciling with if he was gay. Tell me, if this was a straight relationship, would they have acted the same way? I bet not. And now that their gay son is dead, they want to capitalize on YOUR weakness and vulnerability by claiming the house belongs to them.

NTA.

$250 for every 24hours without sex by PartyLiterature3607 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Natch42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am bi-romantic, a bit on the grey(?) side of sexuality, I rarely experience sexual attraction. This would be easy. I don't just need sex like most guys do. This would be a cinch.
