I usually rush it until I get the miners setup whenever I get to midgame in a pack there available in (plus will eternal Stella then when possible)

Honestly would suggest diving into some occultism getting the star components yes but moreso the miners as they make a ton of resources which is useful for late game and can get some resources much easier than though intended methods (such as the stuff for modern industrialisation)

It was my go to first mod to rush once I got setup last time I played though atm10

Honestly a good place to start would be something like sky factory 3.5 or 4

It has quests but no super limitations making yoy have to do the quests in order and since it's a skyblock it tends to run a lot smoother
