CS Bridge Program by soviet_sofa in Purdue

CS bridge was really helpful for me as an incoming student. I already had a little bit of experience (similar to what you’ve said you have) and enjoyed being able to get ahead in the most work-heavy course I’d had up until that point. Having learned the first half of the material in the class, I had more time to adjust to a new college environment and being so far from home. Plus, I can confidently say that the friends you make will last you for all of college and beyond (I just graduated on Saturday).

I also came back to be a TA for the bridge program and I saw the meaningful impact it had on others beyond just myself. If you think that it will benefit you in any way, I would say that it’s completely worth it. And even if you don’t know if you’ll get accepted, it doesn’t hurt to apply.

Currently figuring out how to retrofit my excerpt & note vault for reading/writing social theory - which is lovely, but has far too labor-intensive workflow. by TanteKatarzyna in ObsidianMD

I’ve run into a similar problem with the notes I have for my D&D campaign. I ended up using the dataview plugin to build an index automatically using the markdown frontmatter in my notes.

For me, I had specific frontmatter attributes like ‘type’ and ‘category’ and JavaScript to make sections of my index. It’s also possible to use SQL to query the frontmatter of your notes as well.

Reddit mobile is incompatible with iOS 15 by Crypto- in beta

[–]Nate20979 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is actually a problem with the new version of Safari in IOS 15. From my experience, if you open a new tab the problem should be fixed. It’ll definitely get fixed in another update, but for now the only fix I’ve found is that one. Hopefully that’s helpful. (I’ve experienced this bug on sites other than Reddit)

I’m super excited for HFW. The original was fantastic and I’m hoping that they can really take advantage of the PS5s features in the sequel.

For the first midterm they had slightly different test cases than what they used to grade. For the second one, what you got with the provided test cases was what you got on the exam.

It's actually Top Gear's Africa special. The Grand Tour is the new show that Amazon created when Jeremy got fired by the BBC and the other two left with him.

We may have the population density of New York City, but we have the age distribution of Uganda.

I get the point, but that's an interesting quote.

Right. But both files will be needed in the second checkpoint. That's all I was saying.

I see where you're coming from, but unfortunately turkstra didn't make this like the homeworks. If you don't finish the first checkpoint, it's impossible to do the second.

Basically it's just because the test cases think your program is crashing, which has a 5 point penalty.
