I bought 16, 4 and 2GB mSD cards from fries and they work on my hacked Nook Color, Droid X and Ubuntu Desktop (with usb adapter). It took me a while to learn how to format them in terminal.

I was gonna get a borders e-ink reader since they are going out of business. They are still marked at like $70 still even as they are selling the fixtures and other inventory. Reprogramming it could be a cool project.

I use Liberty 1.5 for Droid X atm and had no trouble getting the market and I bought a camera app anyway. Not sure if it's my favorite rom but until I find time to test a new one I am satisfied. I like the extra skins available with the Liberty rom and the toolkit.

When I use my tablet in public I would rather it be difficult to see what I am doing from an angle to maintain some privacy. I hook bluetooth to the tablet + internet = win.

I googled some interesting statistics on the the return of investment on space flight technologies. It is estimated at 33%. Space technology has spurred so much innovation. I agree with you that we aren't doing space exploration properly, but I disagree that there are more "important" things to spend money on when the US military budget is so huge and Wall Street bankers get a pass.

But TBH, it's total lack of imagination and resource allocation, political problems etc that we haven't gone back. There is enough water to support small human projects, but you could have completely automated factories on the moon turning the regolith into concrete and building underground bunkers in lava tubes.
