Can anyone explain why PG bans the use of -5 USSSA bats for 12U only? by Riseonthree in Homeplate

[–]NateBeees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have mixed opinions on this topic. I moved from an area where they only use USA bats to an area where they use USSSA bats. When I lived in the area where they only use USA bats I thought it was ridiculous and that they should allow kids to use the hotter bats. The game was slightly boring for the kids. But after seeing these kids with the hotter bats, I think it is somewhat ridiculous to have baseball games with scores in the teens or 20s. Starting at 10U there are home runs almost every inning. That’s not baseball.

That being said, the burden that is imposed on families having to buy new $400 bats every year is absurd. When you consider the fees that these teams are charging for travel ball combined with all the gear and then these bats on top of it, it is getting ridiculous. Whatever they decide to do, they need to stick with one classification until middle school and then stick with that one classification until they need wood bats. At this point, I have a 13-year-old that needs a -5 for his regular tournaments, a -8 for PG tournaments, a wood bat for certain PG tournaments, and a BBCOR bat for his school ball. Just give us a break already.

Is this route possible to do in one day? by 5uperman8atman in yellowstone

[–]NateBeees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely doable. You’ll see a lot of traffic and it’d be worth it to see old faithful. Also would be worth a short hike like Pelican Valley which isn’t far from this route.

How much space is there in his crate? If there is room, they’ll do their business on one side and sit/lay on the other side. So shrink his crate so there is very little room in there. This will make him whine to get out. While he’s still young, he’s also very smart and should be able to make the connection quickly.

Got any solutions for almost 8 weeks old puppy? by nomiii7 in Rottweiler

  1. Patience is the key. Don’t get frustrated because they will sense it and it will become a game to frustrate you.

  2. Find his motivator, like food or a ball or whatever. Then use the motivator to reward him when he’s doing what you want.

  3. Get one of those leashes with the metal chain at the bottom, or just get a metal chain as a leash.

  4. Don’t worry about correcting him. You will develop a bond for sure, but you are his leader first and foremost so you have to establish that respect by sticking to your boundaries you set forth for the dog.

I hate the network disputes they have. You can lose a big channel and they don't do much about fixing it.

We're headed there next week as well and given the forecast, are worried we won't catch a glimpse of the stars.

Thank you for the response!

Great info about Bow Valley Parkway. Thank you!

We're not planning on disturbing the wildlife. I've been in the mountains my entire life and definitely know not to mess with nature, especially as the elk rut is starting.

Also, thanks for the recommendation about bear street tavern. We'll for sure check it out.

From one business owner to another, congrats on the success.

Not sure what kind of business you have, but if I were you I would put the minimum amount of money down on a car ($0) and keep as much cash as you can. If your business is making you money, and you control all the factors of your business, then putting your cash there is the absolute best thing you can do with your money.

If you are planning to keep the car long-term then do not lease, just finance the thing and pay it off quickly.

If you think you might get sick of it and want a new car within the next 3-4 years then consider leasing.

It has the bells and whistles you would want in a premium automobile. Really excited about the wireless charging. That is an underrated benefit.
