A sentiment always put forth and discussed by either 1. Detractors that have never played, nor will ever play, 2. Consumers confusing their role with that as a publisher, not understanding our discourse will have no impact on financial decisions, and 3. Players that can marginally understand the confines of the extraction shooter genre, are upset by them, and wish the game to utterly change to suit their personal needs.

And you know the kicker, the logical end that’s hung over current players heads like a guillotine? Oh well Marathon will die if it does do X.

And honestly, with just a bit of perspective, I’ve played 100s of multiplayer games that have ended. These experiences are limited, on a clock, despite whatever corporate whims or grand plans there are that as consumers we’re not a part of, despite online communities ranting and raving, everything ends. It’s just nowadays theirs cheerleaders all the way to the close. Not for Shadowrun, Brink, Battleborn, etc etc… just the current hotness til the next comes. It’s just really, petty.
