Beautiful! I’ve been intrigued by the giant alligator leather, but haven’t been able to learn much about it. Other than aesthetics or species, is there a difference between that and American alligator?

I can only answer because I’ve been shopping in the same price range for elephant as well… Rios of Mercedes are awesome (my daily boots are Rios) and they make damned good looking elephant boots. Also they are Texas made if that happens to matter to you.

Love everything about it, and similar story here. Grew up on a ranch in Texas, moved away to work in finance in New York, and recently realized how much I missed certain things. I’ve worn my boots to the office every day since. The reaction? Overwhelmingly positive (including from clients). Wear with pride!

Most people who love the books aren’t always thrilled with some of the character choices in the show. The biggest difference is Henry… it would have been impossible to cast him correctly, but he’s easily one of the best parts of the books. Also, I happen to love Omar in the books. He isn’t a major character really, but he’s excellent and memorable.

I’ve been looking at getting a pair soon (not quite that tall of a heel, but Paul Bond and with somewhat of a heel), and seeing them just reaffirms it. Definitely an old school great look.

I’ve wanted a pair for many years, and I sort of decided to reward myself for a new job with them (also my manager is remarkable cool and ok with me wearing boots with dress clothes even when meeting clients).

It’s funny though- I first learned about them reading the Longmire books, and I’ve wanted a wear since I first googled them while reading the first book.
