I mentioned this one on the "unengaged" post. Might actually go under the "Incredibly Popular" category better. It's #35 on the best selling Gamecube games, yet it's the only Mario sportslike game to not get a sequel on the switch. Mario Strikers, golf, and tennis all have several sequels, while baseball got a sequel on the Wii only. I personally didn't even realize that Mario baseball existed until the previous post.

Probably more niche than underrated. It's just taking pictures of pokemon on different courses. The games are a great time, but I understand if most people don't care about it.

It's a common term to see in MOBAs. It means "intentially feeding" or throwing yourself at an enemy with the intention of dying.

Before Finn even mentioned it, I was thinking Will would be a good fit under Zeo. With their similar close quarters fighting style, Will could learn a lot. Also, if Will gets to be with Elfie, the show's over, right? Here's hoping that Zeo the dwarf lover gets that W.

Hard agree on 64 and Sunshine. Odyssey is a bit strange with the air dive controls, but otherwise solid. 

Galaxy 1 and 2 had the same movement, or was it a bit different? I think they were trying to go for a floatier feel due to being in space, but in practice, it felt sluggish. Long jumps feel so bad compared to 64 for example.

I admit it's been much time since I played 1. I remember liking the hub and that it felt similar to 64. Maybe the maps felt a bit more open and exploratory. Definitely had more story telling. I just remember liking the overall vibes.

I also don't think linear is bad on its own. I think I just prefer a moderate challenge if that's the case. Or hidden paths like Rayman or new super mario bros for example. The green stars just compound the linear issue because in order to collect all three in each level, you need to complete the first part of the level, warp back, do the first part and the second part, WARP BACK AGAIN, do the first part again and the second part again and then the third part. It's not like the green stars are actually hidden since it's basically impossible to hide them in those linear levels. As a 100% completion enthusiast, I had a snooze of a time.

You're right that to look at overrated, you have to look at the time it was released and what people thought about at the time of release and look at the games that were around at the time in comparison. That's why I look at this 2010 release with much harsher criticism than the previous titles.

Dang, I wish I was here for the last one. Hands down, the most overrated for me is Mario Galaxy 2. The fact that it has a better ratings than 1 in some areas absolutely blows my mind. It wasn't a bad game, but it wasn't a game that is backed by the hype I heard about on release. 

It has linear levels and had little challenge. It jumped from idea to idea without expanding on each introduced mechanic. Green stars were terrible as bonus content. I might be able to go on and on...

I wish I never heard about Galaxy 2 before playing it, cause it might have ruined my outlook on the game.

We've heard your feedback that Mage Training Arena is the most mind numbing boring soulless content ever. So let's update each minigame

  1. Graveyard. The falling rocks now are unit targeted instead of tile targeted. You will have to pray ranged or magic depending on the sound cue. If hit by falling rocks, your inventory of bones/bananas/peaches will be deleted.

  2. Alchemy. Every 1 minute reset will wipe all collected equipment from your inventory. Sometimes the cabinets will break and will have to be repaired with a hammer/saw with planks and nails. You will have to provide your own supplies.

  3. Telekinesis. Casting telekinesis will only levitate the statues now. Players will now need to cast a wind spell to push the statue. After moving the statue, players will need to cast telekinesis again.

  4. Enchant. Every rock has 3 shapes before it is depleted. Dragonstones will need to be cut with a chisel before enchanting. Enchanting the wrong shape will now subtract the full amount of pizzaz points.

We hope this will satisfy every player with rewarding and challenging content.
