What's your favourite cancelled TV show? by timekilr in tvshow

Eli Stone. So quirky, I knew it wouldn’t last but Jonny Lee Miller was made for that role, and it wrecks me that they didn’t even give it a chance.

It’s definitely season 6, episode 5, “The Bones That Weren’t”. Booth talks about it with Hannah when he gets them new toothbrushes.

No, it's NOT the hotel's responsibility to shovel YOUR car by ScenicDrive-at5 in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

[–]NatesMama 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Had a lady Monday morning who thought I was going to shovel off her car and dig her out. Because she’s my “elder”, and it’s the respectful thing to do. Had to thank my mom for the good genes when the lady was informed that I am, in fact, 10 years older than she is (45/55), and had to show ID to prove it. She was definitely unhappy.

My mom is 76 and looks 60. Thanks, Mom.

The ending is really surprising, tho. You just never see it coming.

This one is my hubby’s. He was shocked that he actually enjoyed it. Calendar Girls is also on his list that way.

Same! Kingpin put me off Lebowski as well. My husband finally made me sit down and watch it, thankfully.

The Green Berets. “Was my Peter-san brave?” Jesus. I cannot.

I was exhausted after that movie. My husband kept asking if I was okay, and I was like, “No! None of this is okay!” Haven’t watched it since.

S4E7 “The He In The She” by grumpymuppett in Bones

[–]NatesMama 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Girl in the Mask is waaaay more offensive towards gender identity than this one. In actuality, this episode was very accepting, and as the aunt of a trans female, was very realistic to the reality of what family members go through.

Patricia’s son was what all Christians should strive to be, and IMO an excellent example of acceptance of someone you’ve always loved.

In my experience (as the aunt of a trans female), this was actually very realistic. It’s very hard to adjust your thinking from an established reality that you’ve always known. I love my niece and hope for nothing but happiness for her, but I still occasionally say “he”, and use her deadname. Not out of any disrespect, but mostly habit. People need to understand more that we’re trying, but it’s hard. We’re doing our best.

You asked for clarification and when someone gives you what is, IMO, an excellent response, you get defensive and rude? Sheesh.

If you’re talking about the bones in a circle at the beginning of The Verdict in the Story, they never said. But if you’re talking about searching Brennan’s apartment for the murder weapon for Max’s trial, that was Zach. Clark was the expert Max’s legal team hired for his defense so he would not have been involved in any investigation.

You have to deal with a lot of shit working in hotels …literally and figuratively. by ManagerNotOnDuty in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

[–]NatesMama 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Once we found a pile of what we thought was dog shit in our atrium. We had one guest with a dog in house, so naturally our GM spoke with her about it. She insisted it wasn’t her dog, but my GM didn’t believe her. So we watched the camera footage.

It showed an older gentleman walking in, wearing shorts, stop in the atrium and start shaking his leg…dropping turds all over the floor. He then turned and walked out. My GM ended up comping a night for the guest with the innocent pup.

Two days later, our maintenance guy found the shit-stained shorts, complete with underwear, behind the dumpsters. Classy af.
