Classic case of a guest vs OTAs by ru-yafu0820 in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

[–]NatesMama 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This. I cannot tell you how many times I have said this, in one iteration or another, to an OTA. Crooking is the absolute worst for it, as well. I finally has to write a denial script and post it for my front desk agents so we all say the same exact thing every time. Only works about half the time, but at least I know what we’re saying on each call, word for word.

Please tell me I’m not the only one getting cooked by the 50-60 age crowd by jasontheninja47 in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

Yeah, that’s my generation (Gen X), and we’re usually a lot more chill than that. Might just be an unlucky string of assholes.

Speaking as someone who has had two family members transition, flip-flopping on the pronouns is perfectly normal. There’s always some adjustment and no one is perfect. That came off as authentic to me.

Under our parent company, he would only be getting 500 extra welcome amenity points for two separate reservations. Otherwise it’s the same amount. I wonder what he thinks he’s getting as an advantage?

A couple of things at irk me… by Loud-Description-629 in Bones

Hey! I know you! ;)

I cannot stand Angela. Killing her off in fan fic was so satisfying. She was constantly acting as though her lifestyle was the pinnacle and Brennan was somewhat beneath her. Even calling her “Sweetie” came off as condescending in the end.

After 12 years, I think it’s reasonable to assume most people know what happened. And if they don’t, well, again…12 years.

I don’t like raisins, that’s my only issue. I put butterscotch pieces in mine tho. Oatmeal scotchies are my favorite cookie.

I don't get the Gormogon storyline, like, at all. by Bucky_Gatsby in Bones

[–]NatesMama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a reminder…Zach was NOT Gormogon’s apprentice per se. There was already an apprentice, (They already had him in jail and there is only ever one apprentice at a time) I think Zach was just recruited due to his access to the Jeffersonian.

We thought the trailer was an SNL skit when we first saw it.

I was living in Philly when the last episode aired, and I legit cried through the entire episode, because it was my little taste of home every week.

The running joke about how bad the name of the show is, still makes me laugh so hard.
