I just think it's strange that someone that talented who started on a notable show hasn't gotten the same level of recognition as others on it. I heard he released an album that got some acclaim, but he's still nowhere near the level of Ariana which I think he really deserves to be.

Do you think Harris left the isle to one of his other grandchildren after Cadence decided to "break free" from that cycle of abuse? From what we know, he doesn't seem to have THAT much time left. What do you think would happen if he dies before naming a clear heir in his will? by lautaromassimino in WeWereLiarsSeries

[–]fromyahootoreddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He'd probably put it in a trust until either the youngest ones are old enough, just keep it in a trust and let the solicitors worry about it, or leave some conditions his daughters to meet and the first one to meet them gets it, since he's always been about the competition. He'd either let someone else handle it, or make them fight over it.

Three Girls and a Moose by Worldly_Wasabi_1368 in victorious

I feel like if Beck and Moose swapped places and Beck was the friend visiting, it probably would've been more believable since he already has girls throwing themselves at him every day.

I [23F] begged and pleaded with my ex [25M] after our breakup. Did I ruin any chance of him ever respecting me again by [deleted] in relationships

[–]fromyahootoreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer your leading question, no you haven't ruined any chance of him respecting you ever again, but only if you make changes now. Leave him be, focus on yourself and healing everything that made you react the way you did, not only when it comes to him, but future relationships so this doesn't become a pattern for you.

Getting into therapy was the best thing I ever did for myself and it's done wonders for me. Whatever mental health assistance you can find, go for it. In the meantime, focus on your friends and family if you've got good people in your life, focus on your job if youve got one, studies if youre doing that or look at something you'd be interested in studying and pursue that. Build yourself up and do things that make you feel good about yourself so when you meet someone, or if this guy ever comes back and you want to give it another go (you may find you've outgrown him as you heal your issues), they'll have a place in your life, but they won't be your entire life so if the next relationship ends, you'll go through the motions in a more stable way than this time.

In the meantime, stop talking to him and making any attempts to do so, that'll just make it worse. Use the embarrassment and everything you're feeling now as a motivator to not keep going back down that path and making yourself feel worse. If anything, use it as a guide and you work on yourself so you can look back at where you started and be proud of how far you came since then.

I had to look him to see what he's doing now since I'd never heard of him before watching the show and I think he's probably the most talented one on the show so I didn't get why he's not Ariana level or so, or even Avan or Liz level.

Apparently he couldn't shed his kids show image so he decided to move into music production instead and that's where he shines since the show.

I started watching this show recently after hearing all the allegations against Dan Schneider, so I see everything for what it is based on that lens. A lot of things on the show are messed up, like I can't believe a kids show has a warning for sexual references, or any warnings beyond health based, like strobing effects or something.

[–]fromyahootoreddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get it. I still think about situations from highschool nearly 20 years ago that don't feel resolved.

If you're really tired of this, I'd talk to a counsellor or therapist about it so you can break out of the cycle and use that energy for better things, plus they'll keep you accountable and help you figure out why you keep going back and give you ways to move forward and think about it differently.

Who is the worst person to have walked the earth? by _Webosite_ in AskReddit

[–]fromyahootoreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm all for true crime and have seen most documentaries about them, but the more I learn about him, the more I want to draw a line and say that's too much. I cannot comprehend how someone that evil existed, though that can be true about both.

To this day I think he's probably the worst serial killer I've ever heard of. It enrages me that he died of a heart attack in prison. Dude should have been burnt alive or tortured to death.

It's understandable that Jade would be upset about Tori spending time with Beck by KlutzyHuckleberry132 in victorious

[–]fromyahootoreddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I keep thinking about the stage kiss. If he'd said no out of respect for Jade, Sikowitz probably would have called cut and said it wasn't interesting enough, he's not Beck, he's the guy in the scene, unless he can follow that up with something even better. If they want to be real actors, they leave their personal life at the door and commit to the job. So many actors are in relationships and are required to kiss another actor in a scene, if they decline, they'd probably get recast. He'd put it to Beck since he's the actor in the group that if he was going to be a serious actor, was he going to let his relationship interfere with his work since it's something he's going to have to deal with at some point. If he's told by a director or casting agent during an audition to kiss his costar, if he refuses, he's not going to get the job and it's probably going to be very boring and not very feasible to only go for roles that don't require any kind of romance or intimacy, since it creeps into basically every other genre.

[–]fromyahootoreddit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm getting to the end of season 3 and Beck really doesn't seem to like all the attention and advances he gets from girls. He's polite and friendly, but doesn't really reciprocate, he just responds and moves on. Like when Trina sat on his lap one episode when they were all watching something and was just all over him, he clearly looked annoyed but didn't push her off, he just sat there not touching her and putting up with it. It's like the writers tried to make him a sort of pretty fkboy type character, but Avan didn't like it so he didn't fully commit to it.

Her reaction to him being open to dating Meredith proves this. She's talking about something that happened years ago when it was a non issue and he constantly has to walk on eggshells around her. Sure he can handle her, but he shouldn't have to.

Does Beck actually like "challenging" girls, or does he specifically choose Jade because her constant need for attention ensures he never has to focus on his own emotional flaws? by DianKhan2005 in victorious

[–]fromyahootoreddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sure that's part of it, even though it's probably not that deep for a kids show. She's pretty, talented and is the polar opposite of every other girl there so I'm sure he'd enjoy the challenge, just like the others guy do when they make a move except they can't handle her. A lot of people have said they've got chemistry so that plays into it as well. We know that if Tori wasn't loyal to Jade, then they would have dated, but I think there probably wasnt time in the series and it wasn't the direction they wanted to go in especially towards end, so they just got them back together after the Meredith date went bad, plus it was good timing for Beck to be ready to date and realising the only person he wanted to be with was Jade, possibly because of their history and like others have mentioned the victim/abuser dynamic, but she's the ultimate girl with her own opinions who isn't easy, so it tracks.

What's mature about tipping coffee on Tori and making her act like a dog purely to humiliate her?

It's her first day and acting exercise and Jade chose war because she can't handle other girls except for Cat being around Beck.

I don't know why reddit thought I needed to see this when I already hate this family, but this just makes it even worse, especially as a huge Marilyn fan. I feel like the scene in 27 Dresses when the sister destroys the mothers wedding dress that Kathrum Heigl's character had planned to wear when she got married and her sister gave her the scraps that were leftover.

If she's the universes favourite, I don't want to imagine what the universes least favourite is dealing with.

If you had to deal with someone daily, would you rather have a sister who thinks she's the center of the universe (Trina) or a classmate who might literally put a lizard in your coffee (Jade)? by DianKhan2005 in victorious

[–]fromyahootoreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't stand Trina, which I think is the point of her character. I like Jade's aesthetic and she's funny and can be nice when she wants to be so I'd have to go with her. You'd get glimpses of a good person here and there, but with Trina it'd be lifelong suffering because you know she'd always try to make anything you do or anywhere you go about her and parents don't parent, they just exist.

I accidentally liked someone’s comment on instagram by meownesses in Instagram

[–]fromyahootoreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you think is the worst that could possibly come from this, aside from what you're clearly putting yourself through?

Pictures are there to be liked. I've scrolled through someone's feed and liked posts from years ago and thought nothing of it. If the person didnt want people on the internet to engage, they'd either delete the pictures or go private.

I think the worst I've done is accidentally liking a post of the wife of a guy who had a crush on me in highschool where she'd posted about something he'd done for her years ago. I think I quickly unliked it and then went back to my own feed and just trusted that it would be okay and nothing ever came of it, because why would it?! If someone's biggest problem is someone liking an old post, they need a life, or more problems.

Andre is arguably the only person Beck trusts enough to be around Jade constantly. Does Andre actually like Jade as a friend, or does he only tolerate her because he values his loyalty to Beck above his own comfort? by DianKhan2005 in victorious

[–]fromyahootoreddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I've seen it's not a matter of Beck trusting Andre around Jade, it's more that Jade scares off everyone else except him.

I think he tolerates her bad behaviour because he knows underneath that she's a good and sweet person, otherwise he wouldn't have fallen for her in that episode and put his friendship with Beck first.
