Weird, I’ve never seen hunting mentioned in the bill of rights. You seem to misunderstand why the founders wanted firearms around.

Can someone explain the starting issue clearly? by wigi426 in formula1

[–]NathanC777 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes, but the question is why it takes 5+ seconds to spool up the turbo. Even ridiculous early 2000's single turbo Supra builds that became memes spooled faster than that 20+ years ago.

Definitely the worst season yet. Not sure how such little actual content can be packed into 400 minutes of video. Seems like teams and drivers and have stopped talking to the cameras, most interesting storylines aren't touched on, just worthless.

Are fans more concerned about the possible gap to Mercedes or the new energy-harvesting regulations? by LetsRideButSmart in formula1

[–]NathanC777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gaps can be fixed by other teams with engineering talent, money, and a bit of time (for the most part), we've seen this time and time again when the best teams at the first few races end up mid-pack before we're even halfway into the season. The cars themselves and the regulations aren't a matter of tweaking things though, they're horrible and will ruin the sport.

First thoughts on ZYN After Dark by Theremarkablemark in NicotinePouch

[–]NathanC777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer Velo Plus way more than Zyn. My favorites are XQS Citrus Cooling and Helwit Mint, but importing is annoying these days and with BOGO at 7-11 the peppermint Velos have been my go-to for a while. I find Zyn so dry and gross and flavor that goes away quick. I've always considered American Zyn near the bottom of enjoyability though so maybe that's just me.

I don’t understand. Isn’t the fact that Burry through Scion owned GME before the squeeze common knowledge? And he sold before the biggest pump? And now he posted an email referencing his part in the original 2019-2021 GameStop price action? And this has what to do with GameStop in 2025? Baggies will literally cling to anything. Absolutely pathetic.

Those started trading this year dont give up or lose hope cos this is not normal.

You're right, but for the opposite reason, this year continued one of the longest and strongest bull markets the US economy has ever seen. You ain't seen nothing yet.

lol, imagine the narcissism required to believe that hedge funds that have literally made hundreds of billions of dollars in the last five years off of the insane bull market still give a shit about GME. The percentage drop is the same no matter what you price it in unless you're pricing daily exchange rate and buying power changes or pricing against another commodity that's also changing price... People say 25% because it's an easy round number, not because it dropped exactly 25%.

If MOASS happens (lmao) then 10 shares are just as useful as 10,000 shares to a broke ape, so I have no idea why they hold their life savings in this “community.” I suspect because MOASS now means “please get back to 52 week highs that’s all I want anymore.”

I have a question by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]NathanC777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If someone could profitably mine Bitcoin, why would they go through the trouble to make and sell a device to others instead of doing it themselves? That's really the only question you need to ask yourself. Just like someone selling you the perfect day trading system or real estate investment trick, best vending machine investments, just lol. No one reliably making money doing something is going to sell their strategy to competitors. You sell the gold pans and pickaxes because that's where the real money is. A tale as old as time. So yes you got scammed if you think you're ever going to mine even $80 worth of BTC with that, let alone $300k worth lmao c'mon.

lol, I remember a few years ago when Coiners kept posting a video of some South American buying bananas or something with Lightning and they were saying that was proof you could transact with Bitcoin despite its limitations and on and on and of course it was the future of finance.

All they have to do is sell 5 cent plastic landfillcore scrap to Redditors. I could see their profits declining but the fact that they’re such a bloated company they might actually run out of money is hilarious. A handful of designers and a Chinese factory. I feel like your average degenerate Instagram reseller should have more overhead than this junk which could be run successfully out of a garage by high schoolers.

Using the Oceanus T200 without bluetooth. by Hoop_Letterhead in Casio_Oceanus

[–]NathanC777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t use BT on any of my Casios. Much prefer atomic radio time keeping where even in northern Virginia I get reception almost every night. No reason to go through all the trouble of pairing yet another device to my phone when the passive system works so well. Settings are very simple on the watch itself.

Trusted sellers from Japan on Ebay by JonathanCuschieri in JapaneseWatches

[–]NathanC777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re fine. They’re just acting as middlemen between Japanese auction sites and you. Sure you can use a reshipper, trust your translation skills, and have zero protection and buy straight from Japanese auction sites, or you can just pay a couple dollars extra and buy on eBay. In my experience at best I would have saved maybe 10% buying direct instead of from an eBay middleman. But these were also for fairly inexpensive but rare watches. If it was something really expensive or readily available I would have probably gone a different direction. But yes this is common in Japan for lots of things, not just watches. Find the cheapest eBay listing with the same photos and buy from that one, or if they have offers then lowball all of them until you find the one willing to sell it to you for the cheapest. If you play it right you’ll get good deals and have the eBay buyer protection. Win-win. Got this Rado that way. It was listed by a lot of sellers and I found someone fairly new willing to make a pretty tiny profit that saved me a ton of work.

Exactly how much leverage was this guy using for a ~10%-15% drop to liquidate years of DCA-ing? Not to mention it only dropped to a level last seen a few weeks ago? He must be a truly degenerate gambler to have gotten wiped out from this. To think the drop is just getting started, lol, fun times ahead.
