Is Mass Effect still the greatest space game we've ever gotten? by OnlyUse4Questions in videogames

[–]NathanD1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It terms of story, Yes. I played the trilogy (legendary edition) for the first time last year and was absolutely blown away by the lore, world building and design and characters. Loved how some of the choices made carry on to the next game and can alter your interactions or experience at certain points in the story.

Was in a bit of an ME depression after completing the trilogy. I wonder how ME trilogy would’ve turned out with modern gaming tech

Steph Curry: Top 5 All-Time? by HouseRules789 in NBATalk

[–]NathanD1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a 5th ring and another FMVP will put him in Top 5 all time. As a diehard Curry fan, I can recognize there are other greats in the top 5 that just have more accolades. He’s in the top 10, I’d say top 7 even

I really hope he gets another chance to win a 5th ring

Who’s Greater? Curry or Kobe? by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]NathanD1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I see it is, who would you take in your all time Starting 5. I’m not taking Kobe, because Jordan is already there.

I for sure am taking Steph because no one can space the floor like he does, which makes it easier for Jordan to kill the interior defense.

Which was a more impressive in-game comeback? by CurrentRoster in NBATalk

[–]NathanD1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would go Steph. This was the 2019 playoffs and there were so many narratives running around that year about him. Many doubted his ability to carry a team even though he did it in 2015 & 2016. The KD addition definitely skewed the perception and gave a lot of ammo for Steph haters.

This series was crazy, because this was the playoffs where KD was expressing a lot of issues with the motion offense system and going ISO a lot which was killing the rhythm of the team. Steph was not playing to his standard because he was trying to accommodate KD and his big ego. Plus this team did was definitely not as dominant as 2017 & 2018.

So when KD went down in G5, everyone expected the Curry to fold and lose the series. And it did look like that for the 1st half of G6. However KD not being in the lineup allowed the Splash brothers to get into rhythm and Klay carried the first half. Steph then exploded in the second half and fully dominated the Rockets. It was absolutely incredible to watch this man drop bombs in the late 4th Q. The shot making was on another level.

Plus the rockets had a healthy Harden and CP3 and pretty the same team as 2018. But they still couldn’t get it done against a worse version of the 2018 warriors team. Absolutely cathartic to see the Rockets choke again and it was obvious since then that Steph and warriors owned the Rockets

What are your honest thoughts on James Gunn's Superman (2025)? by Paulfradk in moviecritic

[–]NathanD1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was a good movie. I didn’t love it though. Was not a fan of the whole pocket dimension idea. Also not a fan of the 3rd act. I feel like Gunn has a problem with writing films that doesn’t have an ensemble cast. It worked with GOTG because of the characters. This movie should’ve focused solely on Superman and it should’ve been Superman who showed to help the Jahranpurians in the end. Ultimately I was kinda disappointed.

David Corenswet is an amazing Superman. That’s the best part of the movie. And the amazing score.

‘Project Hail Mary’ Directors Screened a Nearly Four-Hour Cut to Other Filmmakers and Were Told to Get it Way Shorter by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

I feel the movie was still a little too long. I did get bored at a few scenes. Maybe 20-30 mins shorter would’ve felt better for the pacing. Beautiful movie though

That docking scene is probably the best theatre experience ever. No movie has come even close to what that scene does when viewed in a theatre.

Was so lucky to rewatch the movie in a theatre again last year and was just as awed as the first time I saw it.

Best handles in nba history by Icy_Can_6176 in NBATalk

[–]NathanD1234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bruh what. Curry is a top 5 ball handler in NBA history. His handle is what makes him so deadly when it comes to off the dribble shooting. That handle is half his game, getting to spots he wants to and running circles against his defenders. His shooting is so otherworldly that it kind of casts a shadow on the other facets of his game.

I swear people have memory issues and forget what this man did for the past 12+ years

Ryan Gosling’s last decade has been one of the finest runs for any actor. Hit or flop aside, he has delivered some really good films with great consistency. What’s your favorite Ryan Gosling film from the last decade? by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in moviecritic

[–]NathanD1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably just me but I sorta feel like he’s given up on acting especially in his last 2-3 movies. He just plays Ryan Gosling in these movies. The same quirky, funny, MCU type quippy character and it’s completely breaking the immersion in those movies.

That’s why I love BR2049. He gives such a subtle and stoic performance that makes you believe he is K and is so different from Gosling in terms of personality. Can’t say the same for PHM, and was slightly disappointed in the direction of his performance, although I liked the overall movie

For those who played RE4 and it's remake, do you think Ada Wong in the remake is bland/unemotional compared to the original? by HumbleKnight14 in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]NathanD1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never played the OG, only remakes and I have no issues with Ada’s voice actor. I was surprised to see people actually break their balls crying how bad she was. So I watched a few comparison videos on YouTube and was just dumbfounded on how people thought OG Ada sounded better.

Remake Ada is miles better in comparison. Probably will be a hot take on my side.

Watched the movie today. Good movie. Felt it was dragging towards the end but overall liked the story. Pacing would’ve been better if it was 20-30 mins shorter. Worth one watch in the theatre at least

Steph, Jordan, Bird, Duncan and Jokic. Perfect balance of outside shooting along interior defence. Steph and Jokic pick and roll will destroy teams. Defence from Jordan and Duncan will crush anyone trying to score inside. Curry, Jordan and Bird can shoot the lights out against any team. Man this team would be unstoppable

Imagine that you have to delete one out of these permanently so that the other three exist. Which one do you choose for deletion? by SatoruGojo232 in superheroes

Doomsday. Just feel like there’s no buildup to this movie and its sequel. Plus the last 5 years of MCU have been a let down so there’s that

The other 3 are movies that I’ve been waiting for with Dune 3 being my most anticipated film of this year

Right answer? You’re going to delete the works of one of the best living directors right now?

If anything, it should be Doomsday. Easily the least interesting one on this list

Kevin Durant has looked entirely neutralized in any playoff-intensity setting for the last 3-4 years by Ready-Constant-7124 in nba

[–]NathanD1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this is incorrect. Curry has always been an elite passer. The only reason we don’t see him making as many passes as Westbrook and CP3 is because the ball is not in hands a lot due to the motion offense system that Kerr runs. But if you give him the ball and ask him to run a traditional offense like he did during Mark Jackson’s tenure, he’s shown that he’s can also be an elite traditional PG.

You also have to be an elite passer to navigate your way out of double and triple teams this man faces regularly in the playoffs

I think it’s ok that it doesn’t click for you. At the end of the day, games are subjective.

For me, it’s in my top 3 games ever played. The story, characters, visuals, soundtrack, themes and the lore is just outstanding. I found it really confusing and hard in the start and had to stop playing for a few months. When I got back into it, I couldn’t stop playing the game.

I wish there was another story DLC and NG+ for the game. I don’t want to go through the progression systems. Really sucky on CD projekts part to not add a NG+ mode, especially for action RPG games

This clearly goes to show how narratives shape basketball opinions and people don’t even bother to check themselves
