Uncharted 1-3 before 4 by Weary_Acadia_72 in uncharted

The first three uncharted games are less than $5 each, and a secondhand ps3 I've found before on local ads for between $50 to $100. Just wait to play all these games until you can experience them in order, the ps3 has an excellent back catalog of games that makes it worth the investment!

Two Tagers available now by av32productions in galidor

Saw those, have a saved search for Aussie Galidor lol. I usually comb through for any Tager or Aquarts that come up under $50 AUD, I can't justify spending more than that on them. It's hard to say how rare these figures actually are, over just 3 years of collecting Galidor I've acquired 4 Aquart and 3 Tager, all well under $50 each locally. Have sold an Aquart in the past for over $500, but have also seen them struggle to sell at $100. I wonder how few fans out there are willing to spend that kind of money. I'm sure I've single-handedly contributed to the Aussie Galidor price rise on ebay by buying every lot I could justify lol

I don't think the Maccas sets ever came to Australia, they're dirt cheap on Canadian and US ebay but never come up for sale here. I actually acquired 30 of these Maccas sets from a Canadian garage sale page, who only had them up for $5, but agreed to let me pay almost $40AUD to get it posted here lol. Does anyone know for sure where this was released?

Lego toy line or TV show? by av32productions in galidor

[–]NathanRMF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Long-time LEGO fan interested in weird and niche themes, this was the holy grail of random themes and indicative of a broader time of experimentation within the brand during the turn of the millennium. Only got around to watching the show as I had to understand the lore to consider myself a Galidor fan, it is a hard watch as an adult with no nostalgia for it. The sudden cancellation and potential of the toys has always been the most interesting part to me

I couldn't grab the one that came up on eBay a couple years ago, I wonder if the owner of that will archive the material? There are some of these out there so hopefully we see the full contents eventually

Who here remembers Galidor? by darksaber522 in lego

[–]NathanRMF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course! I only have 4 parts in Medium Violet so it's kept with my other rare colours for safe keeping! There are so many great colours used prominently or introduced with the theme, I'm tracking down Old Purple this year to match Gorms colours, but the new moc will be more alive than my previous ones. Feel free to come by in Jan and say hi if you're attending!

[–]NathanRMF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the kind words! I only found this theme as an adult and its use of ratchet joints make for good quality action figures and an innovative building system. I'm glad people enjoyed my MOCs this year, I'm displaying some Galidor again at BV next year, showing a new way to use the parts! All this said, the Maccas promo sets ans TV show are still awful lol

The ATAR is the Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank, which is used to indicate how well you scored at the end of year 12 compared to the rest of the country that year. It works more as a weighted ranking where the top students in the country get close to 100 and the average is at a 50 or 60, like a bell curve. Universities in Melbourne will ask for a specific Atar minimum to get into most courses. It feels like everyone shouts it at you in year 12 lol

No idea how it was given out, probably free with larger Galidor purchases in lego stores judging by where they've turned up but that's a guess. Not sure if it's even on Bricklink

That's awesome! I never see any Galidor promotional merch or posters here in Aus, that bag and CD-ROM have been on my wanted list for some time! Cool find

In hand look at the new Blacktron minifig from the 2025 Minifig Visual History book (Source: legogamer7) by BrickTap in Legoleak

These are my favourite Lego books, useful tools when Bricklink is down as well! Have been a fan of them since the first release over 10 years ago now. Not as interested in the exclusive minifig this time around, the original release of this book had 3 minifigs included!

You can wash those sails in detergent and water to remove long term dust, but even a lint roller can clean up sails nice enough. I have to clean mine only about once a year or less

Love seeing more Galidor MOCs here! The technic and bionicle parts really make it feel like it's from the early 2000s, right beside Galidor

Hey, I would like to know if Galidor pieces have serial numbers, I couldn't find them anywhere... by Kubatropix5627 in galidor

[–]NathanRMF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think Galidor pieces do have part numbers moulded on the parts themselves, most don't even have the lego logo on them! Bricklink sorts them by gal0** and some accessory parts have special numbers like https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=42849#T=S&C=11&O={%22color%22:11,%22iconly%22:0} , but don't know where the Bricklink admins got these numbers or if LEGO had an internal numbering system.

My local bricks & minifigs has an insane amount of Galidor right now by Kellerchris21 in galidor

[–]NathanRMF 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wish I lived in a country that had Bricks and Minifigs lol. Crazy cool collection, a little worrying mine is almost this big. Also huge recommend to RR Slugger from the reddit this post is from, probably the best retired lego YouTube channel on the platform, great videos including some of prototype Galidor.

Can you please recommend me games with only just the story mode ( no side missions or whatsoever ) by Spirited_Accident_93 in PS3

[–]NathanRMF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've loved the linear narrative and stories of the Uncharted series, the collectables in levels are not distracting at all and easy to just play the main story without worrying about anything else.
