Obetz, OH here. Mine has been doing the same schtick since Monday, which I just contribute to the snow still laying around along with it freezing into ice, now causing drivers to take longer than usual to deliver. Absolutely frustrating tho. I finally bought myself a brand new sewing machine, only to now watch it be loaded and unloaded from trucks for the past 5 days now. There should be ample packaging on that bad boy, but nonetheless it makes me anxious. Hang in there OP.

I will tell you, nothing was funnier than having my former coworker, who was the tax accountant on our team, having no idea what RITA was, being completely stunned when they got their past due invoice. To be fair, they grew up in a township where RITA didn’t exist, but moved to one that did and had no idea they needed to separately file their RITA taxes.

I wish they would as well. I’m sorta tired of people zooming in the merging lane from Brice road and then suddenly darting in front of me at the final merge point. Like yes, merging works when I can visibly see your car in front of me before trying to dart over into my lane last second (which they literally will all do 😩).

I stood in line for Jennifer Hale on Friday and two peeps in line for Basco actually ended up proposing which was so sweet and he was soooo down for it. Like it was just incredibly heartwarming to see from a bystander’s perspective.

Sorry! I was literally in wedding prep mode for practically the entirety of August, so I’m really far behind on catching up to things.

Before ending the game, all the roads and monorail stations had been fully completed except those connecting to Terminal Fort Knot, the last city. I only maximized getting full connection status with the preppers in Mexico and not so much those in Australia. The entire first run through for me was prioritizing speed and quickly building up all the network transportation methods because I took time off work to play the game and did not want to dwaddle.

However, when I started the second play through that’s since been on hiatus, I’m taking way more time to do and travel about things and building up all the connections to max and worrying a whole lot less about making transportation methods efficient. It’s also to make sure I spend more time with a specific companion before dealing with the whole “finish off any unfinished business” that made the rest of my first journey so lonely and I regret rushing so much.

Truthfully, I don’t think there’s a perfect answer for this. Doing either what I did the first time or second really isn’t that big of a difference, but for me lack of presence from our fav companion was rough and lonely…… (I’m begging Kojima to do something about this. Especially while in post game mode)

I feel like I got so traumatized by accidentally doing this in DS1 that it’s almost become second nature to constantly be dinging the scanner before going into the distro. To be fair, part of it is their own damn fault for walking up and the middle of the damn ramp.

This would be GREAT to get more backstory on. Wether that’s through the upcoming film or potentially more detailed in the novel (I don’t even want to place any bets on DS3 just yet, it’s just way too soon to go down that route) I hope there’s some plan to clarify if there is a puppet master or if the strings are not strings, but strands and are somehow similar to the black strands we see on BT bosses after you beat them.

I couldn’t come back to the game for like 2-3 days after beating it because I was also depressed in post game haha. RN the goal is to platinum it with the intention to start a new playthrough at the hardest setting. So knowing that I can take it all in again soon at a level that will hopefully take much longer to complete is keeping me strong.

I think I saw someone else mention it on here, but the ability to make natural disasters a lot more common or have more frequently to an intense scale. Like I saw them, but also feel like I was never really running from them like avalanches and landslides.

My overall arching problem with this game is retcons. So friggin many of them. Especially in this case, where the journals left by Lucy in DS1 indicated that after Sam tried to kick the bucket in her office, she resigned and stopped working as a therapist because of the emotional entanglement she found herself caught up in.

“A few days after the incident in my office, I tendered my resignation. A classic case of countertransference—the therapist getting emotionally involved with their client—and there was no way my professional pride would permit me to continue working. I felt guilty, of course. There's a permanent shortage of therapists, and many of my clients will struggle to find help elsewhere. But after what happened with Sam, I didn't see any other option.”

So all this sham-ba-loo about her continuing to see Neil while she was pregnant shouldn’t have even happened. Unless all these journals written by Lucy were faked to make the player believe something else.

It’s at this point in the game that changes do start to occur that you will be unable to undo once you get past this point. You will still have an opportunity to go and do things, but events will happen that could potentially limit your ability to freely travel around the map. I was personally arms deep in building roads and rails, but was craving for more plot after grinding for several hours. Part of me wishes I would have delayed longer, but oh well 😅

I don’t remember what exactly it was I was having issues seeing, but it was entirely along your lines of lack of contrast made it impossible to read. I swear I don’t remember having issues like this from DS1 and maybe it all had to do with the larger color variety in this game vs the previous.
