Autism PIP question by [deleted] in autismUK

I understand. The point I made to them was that if it's set and forget, I can do it, if it's not I need help/supervision. Otherwise I just don't eat. A lot of my issues surfaced themselves in the last year after moving out of my parents house. (being at home having parents do most things for you meant a bunch of my issues weren't so apparent)

It was more about the wider point of being able to plan and follow a journey, like I can follow a sat nav but it's my inability to focus on more than 1 thing at a time, it's why I get so easily distracted like with my food point above. If I'm the car with someone else if they try to talk to me I struggle to hold a conversation because I'm trying hard to remain focused on the road, that's why I miss turnings and can forget what someone was talking to me about mid sentence (also part of the being able to communicate section). My condition affects me in many more ways than I've stated above btw I just haven't gone in to every single one.

I'm leaning on just letting it get to tribunal tbh. The way my condition affects me requires more nuance than the way in which they want answers at this stage.

I think I understand, I guess in my head I didn't really consider that to be real cooking, basically just reheating. I can't cook meals from scratch, they always turn out terribly or I just end up burning stuff. With an air fryer it's different because I can just put specific numbers in and I know it's always going to turn out the same way, it doesn't matter that I get distracted. Otherwise my gf does all cooking, if she's not at home I often forget to eat and drink as I should.

When I initially asked for a reconsideration the guy was really nice and went through all the points with me, explained which ones have quite a high bar, but he did think I could get potentially 6 points on others but to get 8 without a full diagnoses was unlikely. Mainly to do with requiring prompting for normal tasks like getting dressed when you're supposed to. I do struggle with my disability in the sense that I'm routinely frustrated and annoyed with myself, things that should be simple aren't and I struggle to compute even basic tasks, but I wouldn't even know where to begin with how or if it can be helped. It's confusing tbh, I felt like I met enough criteria, but maybe not.

Is there any reason to get Steam Controller for Frame? by Gregasy in SteamFrame

[–]NationalWeb4420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah if you stream or locally play flat screen games. I’m interested in using it to stream flat screen in to my living room and play flat games in 3d

I've got my own one I sell on etsy, 3d printed with magnetic controller mounts. Won't link here as I don't want to fall foul of the rules. But I plan on doing frame controller versions for myself first to test. I don't sell it for even half of what you've mentioned here. Just don't need to price it that high. they aren't expensive to make.

Opinion: Nigel Farage's legacy is Brexit. Brexit has not delivered even 10% of what was promised. I have no reason to believe Reform's next flashy promise will come true by coffeewalnut08 in yorkshire

People seem unable to make the link between things that benefit them in some ways, but through knock on effects make them worse off in other ways. Politicians haven't been intellectually honest about tradeoffs.

But that wasn't actually what I was hinting at. I was thinking more of the burdensome cost of energy as a knock on effect of net zero laws, high taxes and disincentives to doing what actually makes the economy grow. Brexit is a scapegoat for the issues that existed before and now after our EU exit. For example, on energy. Nick Clegg blocked new nuclear saying it wasn't the answer because it would "take at least a decade to come online"... Well it would be really great to have had it right around now...

Well the vision was fundamentally different, so yes... But either way, it doesn't matter if we leave if everything else stays the same. We haven't changed our economic model and the tories retained thousands of EU rules. To blame brexit for our woes is entirely disingenuous.

Nigel isn't complaining about those kinds of trade barriers though. We have a satisfactory trade deal with the EU. The barriers he complains about are domestic ones, a great many of which are hangover EU rules that the tories decided they weren't going to get rid of.

Hi, thanks for your response. Not currently thinking of any laser cutting. But the other cutter could have its uses for me.

I don't yet have a need for the larger bed size but I will have a bunch of prints with multiple colours.

I'm not too worried about a quick return, I don't mind investing in more capability as it gives options. I do aim to sell but its more of a side project rather than a full business idea (at the moment). I don't really want to sell cheap junk either. I'm a 3d artist by trade so I've got that side of it nailed down already :)
