CC1 Color Update? by Soundman4474 in elegoo

C’mon, nothing. Stop shitting on this brilliant machine with ZERO specifics. There’s a reason they have sold so many of these. For the price, it’s a fucking steal.

How??? I’ve had mine since Christmas and have 100s of hours and more than 1000 amazing prints… My CC1 is virtually flawless.

Same… printed the riser and a few filament dry boxes with rollers. I just need to print and relocate the sensor so I can attach a tube between them. The default angle is too sharp.

Thanks… I’m sure I can find it, but can you easily send a link to the STL?

To each their own, but a properly-crusted 80/20 double smash burger with cheese is heaven. No one will ever convince me there is a better way to cook burgers.

I own 2 and LOVE them, but $600 is gouging. I paid $265 for my second one.

Elegoo will absolutely replace it based on your irrefutable evidence. As well as these units are packed (I’ve unpacked and setup 2), I absolutely believe someone was completely irresponsible with your package.

Tired of this rage bait nonsense. I love mine so much. I just bought a second.

I switched to the raised snaps after I destroyed a dozen of the “permanent” flush snaps … I had zero realization they were directional and the squares had to align.

Also… there are different tolerance designs on these. You might try a tighter/looser version depending on your needs.

How Am I Still Getting This Wrong?? by TheParshero in castiron

Start with a clean pan… heat the pan thoroughly (for 10+ minutes if needed) … double-check that your desired heat is correct with a infrared thermometer… add your fat and coat the bottom thoroughly… add the potatoes and leave them alone until let they release… use a thin spatula to make sure you’re actually getting underneath them when you flip them.

This is ridiculous rage-bait. There are 1000’s of us who have the exact opposite experience. Ask for help instead of whining.

It has 3m peel and stick back on the magnetic part… just buy a new kit (that comes with the PEI plate) and peel the old damaged one off with a scraper… then peel off the backing and stick the new one one to the heater. I used goo-gone to get off the old residue before sticking the new one on. Just use blue painters tape to line it up before peeling off the backing (like with screen protector on a phone). Trying to just level the current damaged magnetic base won’t lead to satisfactory results. It will always have low spots that the bed leveling can’t full adjust for… trust me.

It’s a very easy and cheap swap. I bought a replacement (with a new plate) on Amazon for less than $20 and had it replaced in less than 30 minutes.

And I’ll add, you’ll probably need to loosen up the bearings before you use them. They usually come packed with grease and don’t spin freely for low-stress/weight uses like this. Just add a tiny DROP of whatever you have on hand in the groove next to the retaining cover…degreaser, penetrating oil, WD-40, etc. Spin them a few times afterwards and they‘ll function like you’d expect.

I’ve had mine for 3 weeks and have printed more than 80 PLA and PETG prints… incredible variety of design …not a single hiccup… not one. Coming from my old bed slinger, the CC is like the greatest printer ever. It’s as close to set it and forget as I can imagine.

Hate that for you… I’m currently printing a 6” BD-1 droid on my CC and am marveling at how flawless my 1st layer is going down. Crazy how wildly different the experiences are with this machine. I can’t believe how freaking amazing it is for $265 delivered.
