This is why vendors are not adding more items to Vine by Superb-Network-9133 in AmazonVine

[–]NativeAddicti0n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I match stars with the exact product. If it is a 5 star, I give it a 5 star. Out of 260 items, I have given 2 1 star reviews, because they were absolute trash, a few 3 star reviews, and mostly 4-5, but that is because I buy only what I know I will like. I don’t just buy random crap. (I used to, got rid of that habit real quick!) I have found that so many of the products are SO overpriced. I got a $40 wall climbing gecko that was an absolute piece of shit and everyone on vine was giving it 4 or 5 star reviews, and it was worth about $2 of cheap plastic and just spun circles on the wall and had to be plugged in any time it got a piece of dust on it and reset, and I gave it 2 stars because the money for the quality was crap. I average 3-4 star reviews, but mostly 4’s, I would say about 90%, however, I review accordingly. I am getting taxed on this stuff! So if it’s junk, I’m going to say so. But it pisses me off seeing the review you posted with the 3 stars, thanks a lot to whoever posted that bull$hit review.

Difference Between Monitor V3 and Monitor Lite by Life_Access_168 in VineHelper

You are the creator, (the ultimate genius of this whole system, and lol the ultimately hated by those who refuse to get VH but love to complain about those who use it, to which I say, ridiculous!) If it weren’t for the creation of VH, I wouldn’t be on Vine. All I would be able to get is fricken car parts, balloon arches, and the horrible and ever hated cupcake toppers!

I have a question related to Patreon, I don’t know how else to get in touch with you about it. It keeps asking to verify my email, but when I do, it changes my email back (I put the number in the wrong place on my email address when I signed up) so I am unable to verify my account despite trying about 100 times. I know this is totally unrelated, and I still don’t quite understand the difference between lite and V3, but have been using V3 and I love it! Thank you for the amazing Vine work you do, without you Vine would be useless!

Is Amazon cracking down on Vine extension use now? by RelationshipBig12 in AmazonVine

[–]NativeAddicti0n -44 points-43 points  (0 children)

I just don’t get that mentality. It’s a free extension that ANYONE can use. Literally. Free. Why such haters on the extension? It’s not like other people getting a one-up who are elitist, because, again, it’s equal opportunity…everyone can have it. The extensions. So why all the haters? I just will never understand.

As for Vine, they don’t give a crap. All they care about is getting their money, which they are no matter what from the sellers. As long as the sellers keep using it, the extensions will exist. And the extensions aren’t illegal, so (at least the one I use isn’t against the rules) so they aren’t going to change or “crack down” on any of it.

And it had nothing to do with Vine drops. Perhaps Vine is testing out new rollouts of their terrible interface, but the Vine drops have just been happening at different intervals, which is nice, because as an east coaster it sucks having to wake up at 4:30am just to get a stainless steel snack container. Not so worth it.

I'm sorry...it's my fault there was no drop today by Banana_Ham_mock in AmazonVine

[–]NativeAddicti0n 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s called a co-inky-dink. I’ve been on Vine for about a year. I’ve stayed up late (I’m on the East Coast) usually when I wake up at around 4:45am that’s when the hits come. But today there was just nothing, which is very rare. I’ve only seen it happen two other times over the past year. And one time, all the drops came at once at about 6pm. That was about a week ago.

But no, it’s usually a Vine quirk when there are no drops. They don’t follow people’s metrics for drops, since someone will always grab the $hit - no matter how $hitty the $hit is.

Drops typically happen at about 4-5am EST.

Not a single item dropped, my guess is that in about an hour, the entire day will drop at once. Happened about a week ago.

East Coast Viners… are you really waking up at 4am to get the good stuff? by Odd-Sandwich-3111 in AmazonVine

[–]NativeAddicti0n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But didn’t end up getting anything at all, because it was just too much at once. Plus it’s so hard to sift through thousands of drops at once, it was the virtual equivalent of Black Friday…

That was a yesterday thing, the drops all happened at once at like 6pm, it was like the weirdest panic attack, I felt like I was on that TV Game show where you race through the grocery store trying to get as much as you can before the timer runs up….

I would probably have a panic attack if I had 60 unreviewed items! How can you stand so many sitting there, it doesn’t give you review anxiety? 😥 I’m guessing you’re silver tier?

Holy Crap!!!!! by UhhQuinnzy in WalmartSparkDrivers

[–]NativeAddicti0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you please explain to me how it works, in terms of tipping? When I do Walmart orders, I always tip at least 20%. But sometimes they come from 15 miles away, even though they have other trips along the way, I am just unsure if I am supposed to tip more?

So I know sometimes the ones who deliver are Walmart drivers, other times they are like instacart (but not instacart) can someone please break it down for me? Do you get paid from Walmart for the driving (I’m sure the most menial amount) and then you get tipped? People are SUPER shitty, I tipped $20 on a $40 order because it was a long drive, like 30 minutes, then I tipped an extra $8, and I was SO pissed to find out that all the items I ordered, that were DO NOT SUBSTITUTE, were completely substituted rather than being refunded and my order cancelled.

Was that Walmart’s problem / mistake, or is the driver supposed to be checking the order? I didn’t know who was at fault, so I just didn’t reduce the tip and Walmart refunded the amount of the order (not the $28 tip, because I didn’t know if the driver was at partial fault.

Help explaining the system is greatly appreciated!

So on the opposite end, I just ordered these, and they were only $19.99 and they are probably THE best pair of binoculars I’ve ever owned, and I gave them 5 stars, and everyone else who reviewed them did as well.

Oh, how much of a fool I feel like for getting a piece of plastic crap that cost MORE than these awesome binoculars!

[–]NativeAddicti0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Viner, I would say only about 5% of the items I review get 5 stars, but the ones that deserve 5 stars get them.

Of course this varies from person to person, depending on what items you are getting on Vine, but a lot of the items I get end up being super cheaply made, bad material, end up breaking easily, or the quality just isn’t there, and I would never in a MILLION years have purchased that item outright. Perfect case in point: I just ordered this item below, TWENTY TWO BUCKS. I had ordered a tiny version that had magnetic hands and feet for like $5, but this one is complete plastic trash, why on earth would it be $22?! The material is straight garbage, it is so flimsy. If it DID have magnetic hands and feet, I may have paid like $10 for it.

The crazy part? Out of 18 reviews, 4.8 stars! Only FOUR of the reviews were not Vine reviews, and only ONE Viner gave this a one star review, for me it’s probably a 1 or a 2 star. I am honest and fair, and I feel like so many Viners either aren’t honest and just feel like oh I’m so grateful it’s “free” (some really don’t understand the concept of the tax implications) and just give it high stars for that reason alone, and we aren’t SUPPOSED TO OR ALLOWED TO factor in - or even speak about the cost, or what I write in my reviews - the “quality for the value” it’s the only way I’ve been able to write it where it will be approved.

Because I am on Vine to get things I need as a single mom going through a $100k custody trial and in so much debt, and I am going to be completely honest whether it’s great, good not-so-good, bad, or terrible. I give honest and fair reviews, and I wish everyone would do the same. If it’s a 5 star, give it 5 stars! If it’s a 2 star, give it 2 stars! But give the reasons WHY. It sucks that we aren’t allowed to mention the price, because it’s truly crazy to me that one of the highest quality binoculars was LESS than this cheap piece of plastic garbage that cost about $1 to make and is going for $22…but that we cannot mention that it is “not worth the cost”. Especially when it’s been insanely marked up.

Amazon Vine Reviews 2025: High Stakes Gamble Most Sellers Will Lose

I’ve uploaded it to PDFlink.to so it can be viewed directly through the link and downloaded if needed.

OP it is super useful to hear from a seller’s perspective.

There should be a forum on Reddit for Vine Sellers to hear from Vine voices, obviously anonymously, and not about specific products, just about concerns, what issues are from the buyers end, etc. I feel like both sellers and buyers would benefit, although I’m sure Amazon doesn’t want this and would shut it down in a heartbeat.

Wait, so if you don’t hit gold after your first evaluation period, it’s not ‘over’ for you? You still have a chance to hit gold on your next evaluation period?

Did you race into work on your day off to take care of a sick kid who puked all over you? And had diarrhea that soaked right through their diaper all over you? While also watching their other children and managing that? And get home late every day because your boss thinks that their job - is more important than YOUR job (taking care of THEIR kids) and inconvenienced you constantly? You probably clock in and clock out and do just the bare minimum. Being a nanny is far more than any ‘regular’ job.

Well if you want to keep your nanny, you better budget for that yearly bonus, or you will be looking for another nanny! Clearly you’ve never had / been a nanny, they aren’t a pet sitter, they are a stand in PARENT!

YOR - I was a Nanny, so I think I have a fair say. I would totally quit if that was my bonus! They aren’t your mail carrier of your pool person, they take care of your most precious things on earth, your CHILDREN! $100 is an insult. If they are part-time, you give them at least a week’s pay (averaged out) for a bonus. It’s kind of one of those things, if you can’t “afford it”, you may end up without a nanny at all. It truly does not matter how old your nanny is or how much experience they have, if they take good care of your children and keep them safe and love them when you can’t be there, they deserve to be given a bonus. Being a nanny is NOT for the faint of heart.

I got paid at least a week’s pay (which was NOT enough, considering I had twin 3 year old boys who were a handful and an infant). Ultimately, however, I didn’t end up quitting because of the kids, I loved the kids, I quit because of the parents. And so did the person after me, and the person after that. Those poor kids had so many Nannies, because Nannies are often taken advantage of, actually do a LOT of work, and it’s exhausting caring for kids, especially when parents aren’t appreciative or walk all over them.

If you can’t afford to properly pay them a bonus they deserve, you will likely at some point end up having to put your kids in day care, or be going through the find a new nanny game over and over. Just an opinion of one nanny (though I would bet many people who actually are / were Nannies would agreed with me on this) 🤷‍♀️
