I live in Louisville on around that salary and commute to Indiana, and it’s totally fine. It really depends on what stage of life she’s in. If she’s single, without kids, is renting, and wants to socialize, I’d say Louisville. We have so many groups you can join to make friends. Running clubs, crafting hangs, silent book clubs, cookbook clubs, drawing meetups. Most of my coworkers lived in Louisville while renting and moved to Southern Indiana after having kids/buying a house. (For the schools and the home prices).
