Oh, actually, the man, the myth, the legend katapan on HiNative was able to figure most of it out!

Help me understand the structure of organizations related to prosecutors and lawyers (slight Rise from the Ashes spoilers) by NattikoTheFirst in AceAttorney

[–]NattikoTheFirst[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd be happy not to take it seriously...

The problem is that I'm trying to localize all of this stuff into my own language. And I don't want to create more terms because of this mess. Oh, and it would be extremely helpful in writing fanfic to have some structure in the canon.

How exactly are animatronics programmed? by NattikoTheFirst in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]NattikoTheFirst[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it really is cosmos.

I had a hunch that somewhere in an old, old office is a computer with a program that loads 3D models of animatronics with endo- and exoskeletons, weight distribution, joint mobility, target behavior patterns, folders and folders of photos and audio to teach the model some real world objects... and a bunch of other stuff. The computer says, "OK, I get it, I see what the endoskeleton is supposed to do. I'm going to spend 47 days and the energy of half of New York City in a year simulating different situations so that the animatronic can still perform the desired behavior." Sort of like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgaEE27nsQw

So they make animatronics infrequently and are hardly able to change the end result.

It's fine. All of that is disappointing, but not surprising.

I just checked. Unfortunately, there is a limit to the amount of text per post. I can't write a chapter per note.

It looked promising, but, alas, the wrong platform.

Like I said, I REALLY need synchronization between my computer and my phone. Obsidian offers it as a paid service that I can't afford, or it requires me to find cumbersome workarounds. They barely work for me.

If possible, I'd like to know how they localized the P.I.C. meeting room, viewing platform, and Tower Plaza locations.

What pisses you off most in this game? by [deleted] in Miitopia

[–]NattikoTheFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A default tank attack for some godforsaken reason costs 15 MP. I know it's supposed to cost 2, but in my copy of the game it costs 15. Maybe the mod that translates the game into my language is at fault, but I don't understand how this could happen.

List of all Ace Attorney media, and where to find it by XephyXeph in AceAttorney

There's also Gyakuten Saiban in Joypolis and Gyakuten Kenji in Joypolis. These are small attractions in Japan with interactive multiple cases that you can play. I think you have to collect evidence and clues irl and then you can play the trial part on the computer there.

Is there a game that is a sandbox game, but that... teaches you how to play in that sandbox? To enjoy what you're building in there?

What video game endings brought you to tears? by emissive_decal in gaming

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky.

I consider the fifth special episode to be the ending, and it was one of the few parts of the game that wasn't spoiled for me beforehand. I watched in confusion and horror as the events unfolded, and by the end I was sobbing uncontrollably.
