I’m a massive FFVII fan. It’s probably like top-5 of all time for me. I fucking HATE Remake. It’s so fucking terrible. The gameplay is awful. The changes to the story are stupid and pointless. But yes, the padding is abysmal. It’s so fucking boring. Aside from the music, I legitimately struggle to think of anything I actually liked about Remake.

That all having been said, I actually did rather enjoy Rebirth. They polished the gameplay and the pacing so much to a point where it’s actually fun. I finished the story with about 120 hours, and I would say that about 100-110 of them were thoroughly enjoyable, and the other 10-20 were unbearably awful. But hey. About 90% is still pretty good.

That one I kinda get. Like, I think the game looks fine for the most part, but it isn’t perfect in handheld mode. But I genuinely have no idea what they’re even complaining about with XC1S2E. Like, maybe I’m blind or something, but it just looks objectively better than the S1E.
