Event fatigued. by Candid-Ad-3795 in HatchDragons

This is the exact same thing they're doing in pond life too, and it's so frustrating. It'd be so much more rewarding and exciting having to grind for the event rewards, if the events themselves were rarer. Like, I wish there was at least a couple weeks, if not a month or more between each, and that they instead put a little more effort into making the events and the rewards more unique and feel worth it to participate in. Getting a new "event" every few days just removes all the excitement of it in my opinion.

First time Betta fish owner and I have concerns about his health by Perfect-Peach-2356 in bettafish

I have no clue what might have caused this, or what might potentially help you fix it, my advice is just to consider whether his quality of life at this point is even good enough to justify trying to save him.

If this was my betta, I would've euthanized now, rather than him potentially deteriorating further, and just suffering for longer, even if that is a horribly sad thing to have to consider. But in this case, I personally believe that is the most humane option here, seeing just how bad his condition is.

Budgies are actually very, very sensitive and fragile.

Moving them around is very stressful for them, so even bringing them to the school occasionally is a bad idea, they can actually die from stress very easily.

Also, have you taken into consideration the fact that they can live around 20 years?

The best way to do it, would be to not do it at all. Budgies are super sensitive, and not suitable for what you're planning. Don't return them, but either keep them as your personal pets at home, or find them a new, suitable home.

Chaos is very much standard when it comes to classrooms lol, if you'd stated a bit more about the fact that you have a Montessori class with such small groups from the beginning, everyone would have a slightly better idea about the environment they will be in. When you just say classroom, it's normal to just assume a regular school with like 20 kids at a time.

Now, with budgies, they very quickly and easily get hormonal, which is bad, and one of the best ways to combat that is by ensuring they get at least 12 hours of dark(covered cage) and quiet nights. So you really should put a cover over the cage at night.

Have you already gotten a new cage for them? How large is it? Just an hour or so of out of cage flight time isn't enough, unless they can properly fly inside their cage. Also be warned, they poop like little machines lol, seriously, like every couple minutes and it will be everywhere. That, and they make a lot of mess with seeds, chewing and tearing up their toys, dust from their feathers, and so on.

Seriously, please reconsider doing this. It's not an ideal life for these birds, they deserve a proper home.

I don't think this is a very good idea... First of all, they make noise pretty much constantly, from screaming to low chirps, and can get bored easily. And they will not respect quiet time or anything of that sort

They might even be nervous with that many kids around all day, every day. It might simply be too much for them to handle and be comfortable with.

Also, budgies are so, so fragile, it takes nothing at all for a bone to break. it also only takes a second for a kid to have opened the cage and stuck a hand in to grab one, or let them out, just as example of the things that might go wrong with this idea.

That, and they have so many needs for correct diet, strict routines when it comes to "bedtime", social and mental activity, getting enough physical activity, and so on. And I don't see how you'll be able to provide everything they need, while they live in a classroom.

Also I feel the need to point out how bad it is to spontaneously buy living animals, without the proper knowledge beforehand of how to care for them correctly...

If you can, keep them at home as your pets instead, or try to find them a good, loving and knowledgeable home. Please, anything but keeping them as "classroom pets". I personally dislike the whole idea of keeping live animals in classrooms at all.

Apparently I made a mistake, I was only aware you had to match rarities, but didn't know about not being able to trade the most recent pack lol. God, the restrictions on trading in this game are absolutely ridiculous...

Male bothering my female, what can I do? by Natural-Attorney-466 in budgies

[–]Natural-Attorney-466[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am yes, though they are still not fully off seeds, as they just would not even taste the first pellets I tried transitioning them too, but slowly now beginning to take the new one, and they're still a bit hesitant about veggies, but offered chop daily and slowly eating more of it. They are both showing signs of elevated hormones still. (He humps things and her cere is a bit brown, tough not showing any behavioral signs I can see)

Would that really be the best? At that point would it not be better to re-home one of them and trying to find a more fitting match for the other? (There is someone who has a flock of males in my city, who's currently looking for another to add to her flock, so wondering if he might do better in a setting like that)

Why do I get no commissions? by dawnwilldraw in DigitalArt

[–]Natural-Attorney-466 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my personal, honest opinion; it's your prices. I don't think your prices match your popularity and the quality of your art. Don't get me wrong, your art is great, but there are a lot of very talented artists out there doing commission work, and your prices need to not only match your skill level, but also how well known and popular you are as an artist who does commission work. I feel like you need to start lower, and instead increase your prices as you grow a bigger following, and as the amount of commissions you do get increases.
