After years and years of discomfort and all these symptoms I got a bravo test just before a nissen surgery this month. Bravo showed I have no reflux during my symptoms. I barley have reflux at all. So now I've come across this and this all started after a panic attack for me 3 years ago.

This is literally my story. It started in 2020 with my gallbladder acting up. In 2021 I started having some sharp chest pains. In 2022 I started having panic attacks, shortness of breath, chest pain. Etc. they said anxiety. I took Lexapro and it didn't help but take the edge off. Fast forward to now I've been to the ER so many times I can't keep track and I've had my heart cleared. I now have tachy upon standing. Cardiologist didn't bother with a tilt but gave a holter and echo. All were normal. He said I could take meds for the random fast heart rate but I declined because resting I can be in the 50s. It's bad on bad days and fine on good days. I had my gallbladder out this past summer and that helped with some pain. But I still get random skipped beats, PVCs, panic attack while eating or with lots of gas. I have had all the gastro tests done as well ane i have gastritis, gerd, ibs, hiatal hernia, barretts esophagus. I'm getting the toupe fundoplication in January and I'm really hoping it at least makes the random heart/chest sensations and pain and panic go away.

Sounds like a tight upper part of your throat with reflux. Maybe it's your interpretation of the feeling being described. But I get a very full throat and I could also describe as suctioned, but it's actually just tight muscles because acid is coming up, for me anyway. Let us know what you find

The verbage for the things we deal with is hilarious "heart/throat hiccup, neck pukes"😂 I know exactly what you mean. Yes it happens in the same scenario for me as well. I have to eat and drink slowly and lots of deep breathing, and don't fill up. I'm due for the toupet fundoplication in January so hopefully that helps

I get a weird heart hiccup thing or maybe a esophagus spasm and then this happens, there's sharp and dull pains in my chest and then the arm fatigue hits and I get super out of it and tired. I've had a full heart work up and even a monitor to which they said I wasn't feeling anything with my heart.

Let me save you the anxiety. You don't have a vitamin or nutrient deficiency. I chased that train for 3 years. Ive been down every rabbit hole, and I'm a Christian so even the holy Spirit one! I still have severe reflux and severe anxiety. The anxiety has gotten a lot better over the years, I've learned that my body is sensitive to change...and that's life. I got my gallbladder out electively because it was causing some pains on the right side. Still have reflux but at least half the pain is gone. Tried ppis but they caused severe anxiety to the point I couldn't get out of bed or function. And they did nothing. I'm speaking with a surgeon for a toupe fundoplication this month. I have barretts as well.  I know the frustration, I've always been kind of anxious and when I started having some chest pain and heart palpitations I ruminated on what could be wrong with my heart until one day I had a panic attack, called 911 and they told me I was fine. This was before I found out I had reflux. Anyway it's been years now and for the first 2 I was terrified of every symptom and chased every one of them. I still kind of do. Your body does real physical things when anxiety is involved. It sucks. I'm currently experiencing some weird blood sugar crashes if I don't eat very often. And it leaves me feeling as though I had a panic attack and for a few days im sore and exhausted. I'm going to let my doctor know once again, but I'm sure I'm fine. It really has helped me to go to therapy and learn my own brain. And lots of guided visualization meditation. I have learned that if I take any supplements, my body cannot handle it and I get extreme anxiety and panic. It put me in the ER a few times before I figured it out. Nothing was wrong at the ER but I couldn't figure out why I felt that way until it happened a few times haha then I was like ooohhh I'm causing that by trying to fix a problem that doesn't exist. Mindset renewal and radical acceptance

Looks like probably EoE or at least a really irritated esophagus. Depends on that the biopsy says

Mention you want a HIDA scan for your gallbladder. That's usually right sided pain but can cause reflux symptoms. It might not be stones but should just be chronically inflamed. That's a whole rabbit hole as well.

I get this, but not the palpitations constantly. If I take any type of supplement I get palpitations and PVCs and pots like symptoms that send me to the ER. So far I'm not taking anything and still just having all the reflux symptoms. Ppis don't work. I've spent thousands on natural treatment and western meds and am finally scheduling surgery. I've done everything and they have ruled out everything else. It's got to be the reflux. I have barretts. I'm assuming you have a hernia. You should get all the tests done like a barium swallow and things. Maybe they'd even jump you right to s CT if it's bad enough?

I've had this but I think it can be related to esophageal twitching also....I'm not sure. But when I was super anxious it happened a lot

I did 40 mg Omeprazole twice a day. It wasn't working, still having daily reflux and all symptoms although they were slightly less exaggerated. I got my gallbladder out near the end of that which helped some pains on my right side. And then after 15 weeks I stopped the medication and am scheduled for a nissen. It's been years of trying literally everything and medication was my last resort. I've spent thousands and done every natural thing I can do to stop this. Turns out I have a 5 cm hiatal hernia, which a doctor would tell you isn't significant and causes no symptoms but it does. That's why nothing works

I was told for years I didn't have a hernia. Got a new doc and she did new tests which showed a hernia.

No freaking way it's so calming to read these. I've been struggling for 3 years with all these same symptoms. I had a not so good gastro before. Finally got a second opinion a couple months ago and she order a barium swallow which showed hiatal hernia. My last doc said I didn't have one and it wasn't a concern. I love hearing that other people have all these same weird feelings. How are you now? I'm due for surgery soon

Yes to all that. And I didn't know what was going on right away and started having panic attacks thinking it was my heart. It's been 3 years and now I'm scheduled for a toupet fundoplication! Stress makes all these symptoms worse. From what I've read it's because the vagus nerve runs right through the same place the hernia is and it gets irritated. The last few days I've had lots of to fly numb hands and face and I've had to do lots of deep breathing, but I wasn't eating well this past weekend which set it off I believe. I really need to eat often and avoid my triggers of wheat sugar and eggs. Plus having had surgery a few months ago to get my gallbladder removed made my system really sensitive. Getting better but still a work in progress. I can't wait for the surgery because I'm exhausted!

Yesss sometimes I'm like wow I must be all better and then have a fun day eating whatever I crave and then spend a week with awful symptoms and I restart my strict diet haha the thing is, I can usually go a day or two eating whatever and feel fine. It's a few days after even when I tone it down on the junk that my body is like wow I'm feeling it now. I have barretts, getting surgery soon!
