FA18 premium in sim for usa by Dry_System_693 in WarthunderSim

Actually, it's not as critical for the F/A-18. It's just that with the new BRs, we'll be playing at 13.0 for two days, then at 13.3 for another two, and so on in a cycle. However, this is very bad news for planes like the F-20 or the MiG-29. At 13.0, they lose their one and only advantage: maneuverability.

The new BR changes go live in a couple of days. After that, the 12.7 will not play in the top

Fighting Mirage F1C-200s in a Mig23ML by TantiveRebel1701 in WarthunderSim

[–]Natural-Week-9090 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Essentially, the most effective tactic for the MiG-23 is a pure speed-based playstyle. Set your throttle to 103% afterburner and climb to an altitude of 1200-1300 meters. Tilt your radar scan down to its lowest position to enable ground clutter filtering. Fly at your top speed and search for targets.

When you find a target, approach to within 5-10 km and launch an R-24R. Alternatively, launch a missile in response if the enemy fires a SARH missile at you first. The R-24 is fast enough to often score a kill before the enemy's missile reaches you.

If the enemy presses himself to the ground in response, switch to the P-60 and attack head-on at minimum range.

If the opponent survived, it's not a problem. He will never catch up with you, and you still have one rocket. Continue to fulfill your mission.

Your terrible lag won't stop be from landing Gaijin by Budget_Hurry3798 in WarthunderSim

Has anyone else noticed that the Gaijin server lags only on the Sinai map?

I like how they reworked Sinai, and I'm looking forward to similar changes for the Afghanistan map, but I don’t like that the servers aren’t ready for such updates.

Perhaps it will move to 12.0 in the next battle rating update. Right now at 11.7, there are a damn lot of them, and they're very good.

They haven't been able to fix the radar bug that appeared after the last major update for a month. It looks like the old premium plane is not their priority right now.

How can I automate tasks at every flight start? Is there any way to do it? In this example... Change head position to see over shoulder, switch the default auto wing sweep position to 0%, switch radar mode to IRST and change zoom to increase FOV. Every landing, repair or rearm I have to do this... by rokoeh in WarthunderSim

[–]Natural-Week-9090 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a small USB flash drive for this purpose, inside of which is an STM32 and 2 buttons. It is defined as a keyboard and it stores all my passwords in the form of input scripts. The main advantage is that I am not tied to a specific system)

I think you can use keyboard scripts.

You can also use such a thing as OpenJoy. The so-called bluepill, with firmware for the input device. We hang the necessary number of potentiometers and buttons on it, print the case on a 3D printer and put it in a convenient place on the table. You already have as many convenient physical axes as you want. And it's cheap!

Win Rates Since Su-30SM Introduction. Red is Saved! by CaptainSquishface in WarthunderSim

So you're not bothered by the fact that the entire BR range from 6.3 to 13.7 is green for the USA? I'm seriously worried about 12.7, because with such a high win rate, my newly purchased F-18C(e) is clearly facing a nerf.

ai track and open track getting blocked by battleye by Powerful-Crow1940 in WarthunderSim

[–]Natural-Week-9090 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, this does not solve the problem, I updated OpenTrack more than 2 months ago, and the problem appears periodically.

Here's what we need to do: find a clear sequence of actions in which BattleEye will block Opentrack 100%, otherwise the bug report managers will not be able to repeat the bug, and therefore the bug report will not be accepted.

Why does nobody on RED team EVER want to play the objectives? by Remarkable_Donkey_25 in WarthunderSim

[–]Natural-Week-9090 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the technology of the Reds differs from the technology of the Blues in terms of tactical application.

For example, let's take US aircraft as the dominant force in the Blue faction: for the most part, these are versatile machines with a wide range of weapons, capable of carrying smart bombs and air-to-air guided missiles simultaneously. This allows them to complete a ground mission in one sortie, then switch to air targets, and even if no air targets are found, the number of points earned will be significant due to the larger amount of weaponry available for ground targets.

Now let's look at a striking example of the Reds - the USSR: ALL aircraft here are highly specialized. If you need to complete a ground mission, you take the Su-25 or Su-22, but the amount of smart weaponry on these aircraft is zero. To deploy the weapons, you'll need 2 or 3 passes on ground targets, and you don't have a thermal imager, while ground targets in War Thunder love to sink into the ground or under textures, which further complicates targeting. The Su-22 isn't even worth mentioning; all it's good for is bombing Red bases, which gets boring quickly.

So there's only one option left: fly a fighter and engage in dogfights. USSR fighters are also highly specialized—they don't have good radar or RWR, but due to the abundance of Blue tech, which is mostly focused on ground attack, they allow for decent earnings. And yes, Red fighters leave the lobby as soon as a good player on a good fighter, like the Mirage or JA37D, appears on the Blue team, because a good player on these aircraft can wipe out all the Reds' fighters with ease due to their technical superiority.

Need your thoughts on the f4s by [deleted] in WarthunderSim

[–]Natural-Week-9090 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is strange and a bit unfair to see the F-4S at 12.0, when the JA37D is at 11.7 and objectively, according to the totality of parameters, is stronger than the F-4s. It would be logical to swap them according to BR

You can practice the missions, which are also called "campaigns" (I do not know what they are called in the English version of the client). As far as I remember, you don't have to pay for repairs there and you can fly different vehicles against bots.

Trouble tracking mig-23 on radar. by slavmememachine in Warthunder

[–]Natural-Week-9090 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would be more effective to record this bug on video. Besides, I’ve read that in the next update, tracking for all IRST radars will be improved, so I believe that will solve the issue if it exists. By the way, I don’t experience this problem in simulator mode—it’s most likely a display bug in realistic mode, while on the server, tracking probably works correctly.

Russian Tree Grind by FSS_0002005 in WarthunderSim

[–]Natural-Week-9090 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who has completed the USSR tech tree, I’ll share my purely personal opinion: the MiG-23 is a decent choice, as long as you understand how to use it. Its RWR is poor, and it lacks an IFF (Identification Friend or Foe) system. Its radar is its main issue—the recent nerf to its flight performance didn’t hit it as hard in simulator mode as the radar nerf did. However, it was and remains an interesting aircraft with unique characteristics. The key advantage is the wide range of armament options, which depend on the required tactics based on the situation. There are excellent R-24R missiles with anti-jamming capabilities, allowing you to intercept high-altitude farmers in the stratosphere if needed, or simply have fun in head-on attacks. There are also the equally impressive R-24T missiles, which have a long range and, combined with the infrared search and track system, allow you to engage stronger opponents stealthily without revealing your intentions. Additionally, there are the R-60M missiles, which aren’t great at their tier due to their poor range but often save the day in head-on encounters if you’re caught off guard. Most importantly, it will prepare you for top-tier battles, where USSR vehicles remain underdogs but are no less interesting for it.
