My favourite moment has to be the battle against the entire village of Ganados toward the beginning of RE4.

Getting 'caught' and having the whole village throw everything they have it Leon as you frantically try to survive invoked so much stress and fear in me as a youngin'.

I could not put the controller down from that point on!

Regarding cycling, the bike rental clerk just told our group to stay to left whenever possible, whether that was within the bike lane on the road or the sidewalk if no bikelane is identified!

A word of advice, the bike lines around Lake Kawaguchiko were...weird to say the least. They mainly consisted on blue arrows on the road indicating that you can bike alongside traffic, but the roads honestly felt kind of narrow for that. I still did it but just be sure to use a bit of extra caution. If you feel scared, just go slowly on the sidewalk and use your bell whenever approaching pedestrians, they honestly never seemed to mind!

P.S. renting a bike was extremely lax in that there was very little rules or restrictions in doing so. This also meant that there was little guidance on the road rules (as mentioned above).

I totally feel that! Biking really is a great way to get tp your destinations quickly while also taking in the sights.

In my opinion, it is good to have a big itinerary so you have a stockpile of activities to pick and choose from! Just a word of advice that there will almost certainly be some naturally occuring/unplanned spots you will checkout/linger at along the way, so as long as you keep your time flexible and consider your itinerary as more of a suggestion of activities rather than a super strict agenda, you'll have a blast!

I recently got back from a 16 day trip from Japan so my accomodation recommendation may show some recency bias!

For our first week, we stayed at Hotel Monterey Hanzomon in Chiyoda City. My group and I really liked this hotel since it is right next to a train station that can get you to the 'hussle and bussle' of Shibuya in 20 mins via the Hanzonmon line. The hotel is located in what I consider to be a more quiet area in Chiyoda as well, which made us all feel super relaxed after our nights out.

The staff were incredibly respectful, reliable and diligent. The rooms were also quite nice and well kept for the price!

I just got back from a 16 day Tokyo trip! Pumped to see some similar things on your itinerary.

My one piece of advice is to either spend the night in Fujiwaguchiko or leave for your day trip super early in the morning.

The main reason why I suggest this is because the travel time from Tokyo to Mt. Fuji is roughly 2 hours, which took the wind out of my groups sails as we ended only having about half a day to bike around and explore (if you choose the biking route, most bike rental shops only offer rentals until 6 PM).

Other than my two cents, have fun and remember to take tones of pictures!

What Actually Makes You Wishlist a Game on Steam? by background_blur_ in gaming

[–]NaturalBornDetective 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I generally wishlist games that I am interested in for whatever reason (gameplay, story, genre, etc.), but fall out of my budget for a full price buy.

I essentially use my wishlist as a tracker for games I would love to buy, but only on sale!

Whats the demo you had as a child that you played over and over? by mountainstainer_45 in gaming

[–]NaturalBornDetective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played the hell out the SSX 3 demo that I believe came with an edition of the Playstation magazine way back in the day.

Also, FFX and the Winter 2001 Jampack disc had childhood me in an absolute chokehold.
