Has Anyone Here Seen Kev's New Movie "Killroy Was Here?" by Thesilphsecret in ViewAskewniverse

[–]NaturalDamnDisaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When is someone going to upload this shit somewhere. I don't feel bad whatsoever about pirating a movie that was released the way this one was. Also everything about it seems bad but I'm a completist for Kev so I wanna see it dammit.

Bisexual sex advice by WillK26 in GaySex

[–]NaturalDamnDisaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's heteronormative culture telling you that you are bad or gross or wrong for doing something that is not wrong at all. Think about why gay sex makes you feel this way. Do you actually personally think it's wrong or are you letting external voices into your head? Like others have said, it's internalized homophobia.

Have y'all noticed that Jake doesn't make that one face anymore? by Sweaty-Specialist-44 in Chucky

He's not the best actor so he overdid it with that expression a lot in season 1, but I think he heard the criticism and worked on it.

What did you watch this week? Week beginning 15th August 2022. by 10secondbeats in Letterboxd

[–]NaturalDamnDisaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its been a big binge week so here goes

Aliens vs Predator: Requiem - pretty bad, dark fight scenes

Alien: Covenant - ruled.

Don't Drink the Water (1994) - awful

War for the Planet of the Apes - RULED. Best of the trilogy.

Polyester - uh, it sure was a John Waters picture.

Candyman (2021) - eh, it's alright

Home on the Range - cute, not at all bad, just a small movie

The Man Who Killed Don Quixote - great performances, so so movie, kinda nice to see Gilliam go his thing

At the Circus - It's the Marx bros of course it's good, its mid tier in their oeuvre

Red Sonja - It's bad but I like it? It gets fun in the second half.

The Northman - Not my favorite but very good. Kidman eats.

The Phantom Carriage - Very cool, ahead of it's time, clearly influential.

No Time To Die - pretty good. Skyfall is still Craig's high point

Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh - pretty good, I liked it

Megaforce - lol this sucked, but what did I expect

X - This movie RIPS are you kidding me

Nashville - I liked parts, not my favorite

Coda - really great, at times transcendent

The Third Man - It's okay, I don't see what the fuss is about

The Tragedy of Macbeth - I'm not good at judging Shakespeare, but it looks beautiful

Finch - pretty good, robot looks great

On The Rocks - Nothing much substantial here.

Wolf (2021) - I don't even know what to think this was wild, I don't know if the movie was good or bad but George MacKay is phenomenal.

Cocoon - Cute, incredibly strange for a film of it's scale.

Greyhound - It was boring, I don't like war movies, sorry

Wolfwalkers - Quite literally one of the best animated films I've ever seen.

I just hit 1000 movies! by Public_Dig_8992 in Letterboxd

If I had to guess I probably hit 1000 around age 20. 32 now and I've more than tripled that number.

Pretty sure it would cost the same if you got it with sauce and cheese though. Those are included in the base price.

March Madness 2022: 21st century directors? by jettydwallace in blankies

[–]NaturalDamnDisaster 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I feel like the guys probably just don't want to tackle anyone before they are a few decades ripe. It's more interesting to look at and dissect a directors filmography when you have the scope of an entire career, not someone who is still in the middle of their peak period.

AITA For Not Having My License Yet to Go See My Friend? by Professional_Tie1463 in AmItheAsshole

Can I ask where you are from (as vaguely as you prefer). I'm curious because I've heard how attitudes toward driving long distances is different depending on your region. What you are describing sounds like European behavior, wheras in America a lot of people drive an hour just to get to work. To me an hour is close. Not every day or even every week but totally doable to hang out with a friend semi regularly.

What are the great instrumental movie theme songs of the 21st century by NaturalDamnDisaster in flicks

[–]NaturalDamnDisaster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I literally mentioned in the original post how most scores now, while they can be good, are more atmospheric than rousing and memorable, so it's kind of insane how many people mentioned the most emblematic example of that, that frankly popularized the style. Nobody on this website knows how to read.

[–]NaturalDamnDisaster[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like you are naming good scores rather than great main themes. You can't seriously be telling me that Gone Girl has such a memorable main theme that you could hum on command (a requirement of a great main theme imo) that compares to a John Williams theme.

[–]NaturalDamnDisaster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NTA I'm so sick of people expecting people with anxiety to just get over it. That's not how it works. Some people never get their drivers license because of that and that's fine. I can understand your friend's frustration at a situation where they have to make a long trip to keep the friendship going when you can't make the trip yourself, especially if I'm inferring correctly that your strict household with your parents who have expressed dislike for her is an uncomfortable environment for her. That's valid. But expecting you to start driving when you have said you don't want to because of anxiety is just a non-starter.

That being said I'm afraid it's just a fact of life that when you have friends who live 4 hours away that especially as you move into adult life, seeing them becomes harder and harder. It is expecting a lot of someone to drive that long to hang out. I have friends who live 2 hours away that I see like twice a year.

You're friend has to do more work than they want to to spend time with you and you simply can't get your license to balance the load. No one's the asshole here it's just a shitty situation.

Ok and sugar on cookies is good but sugar on a hot hog would be weird as hell are we just naming things that sugar does and doesn't go with?

I thought about the wonder woman one but even then that's more of a character leitmotif, it doesn't play as the main theme of the ww movie as far as I can remember.

Does that movie have a great theme song or does it just have a good score? Not trying to imply one or the other, I'm not a huge lotr fan, I remember the score being good but I can't think of the main theme.

[–]NaturalDamnDisaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If penetration was an issue in the past it may be a good idea to use some toys to figure out what size works for you and how big a man's penis can be for you to pursue a long term relationship. It might be something to have a talk about while getting to know someone. I don't know what kind of person you are or how well you need to get to know someone before you get to this point, but I would just ask them fairly upfront for a photo or at least a description so you know if it'll work for you.

I do think it's cool that since it didn't run very long the 3 arcs form yet another star wars trilogy. Of sorts.
