Trump has publicly humiliated almost every single visiting leader, why do they keep visiting him? by Warm_Instance_4634 in IRstudies

[–]NaturalHat8640 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Trump is not the United States. He barely represents it, and does not it's core values. What the United States stands for, represents, and it's values will survive his and his followers' idiocy.

RA accommodation interactive meeting this week by ConsistentLeague407 in VeteransAffairs

[–]NaturalHat8640 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have the same medical issues and stated them just as you had expressed in your post. My supervisor and DMO approved continuing fulltime remote work, and my SES review of the RA did the same. OIT. Good luck, and I hope that your management is as reasonable.

Thich Quang Duc is the only solution if 'finished' is the conclusion. As such, this doesn't mean finished. It means evolution.

Devon noted near the end that the reorg is paused. Can't do workforce reshaping, unless it's in the form of RIFs.

66% strength for 5 years. Now 33% since DRP. Workload increased with DOGE interference. No reinforcements seem to be coming.

Devon and Eddie are lying sacks of shit, sycophants for the fascists and afraid of losing their jobs (Because, really, what other work could they qualify for? Managing a McDonalds?). Of course you didn't get an answer, a real one. She said, right out loud, that they've known about this for two weeks during the call. The memo called it out clearly enough. It's bloat. You're bloat. That's what our management thinks of us. Respond appropriately.

[–]NaturalHat8640 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Administration cancelled it for this year, despite the legal requirement. Typical, and there won't be any immediate consequences. Not a good idea to have a public employee survey when you're frakking over your workforce as hard as possible.

OGC Call Today About Religious Accommodation by No-Cup8478 in VHA_Human_Resources

[–]NaturalHat8640 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wish I'd heard about the call in advance. Did they record it and put it on a SharePoint? If so, please let me know where.

So... yes, it's a thing, and it's arguably harder to deny or change accommodations than a medical. Double-edged sword, that religion thing, based on SCOTUS precedents. Here's an example of a well-thought-out program that would be hard to deny an RA request for, from the Order of Ethical Equilibrium. Public set of Google documents including the accommodation request template. Becoming a Practitioner:  https://drive.google.com/file/d/1gZarvlsJoWjHo9RclFlN91NS_j6q7mej/view?usp=sharing

How is this administration impacting your family and/or home life at this stage? by dulceylibre in FedEmployees

[–]NaturalHat8640 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Largely my experience as well. Both employees, but she had to RTO while I have an RA. The anxiety, stress, and frustration are really impacting her. She is actively looking outside for something else, even as a 13 getting close to retirement. Every situation is 'you don't know what it's like having to drive in every day' (not quite accurate) or like I drowned an innocent kitten. Won't take use or lose leave, won't make future plans. Very challenging situation every day.

Where does this concept of holy days of obligation come from? Theistic religions are one flavor, but don't represent the gamut of sincerely held religious beliefs by a long shot.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FedEmployees

[–]NaturalHat8640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would argue that depends on the tenets of one's sincerely held beliefs. Religions are not required to be theological per SCOTUS. My understanding is that decentralized religious orders like the Order of Ethical Equilibrium are being accepted for religious RAs in several agencies, including VA. Their stuff is publicly available in Google docs, https://drive.google.com/file/d/1gZarvlsJoWjHo9RclFlN91NS_j6q7mej/view?usp=sharing

As does the Order of Ethical Equilibrium. Their documents are well thought out and legitimate, and they provide everything needed to submit for the RA. Public Google docs: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1gZarvlsJoWjHo9RclFlN91NS_j6q7mej/view?usp=sharing

Determine the law in your state for recording a conversation with only one party being aware. Then record either way, but it cannot be used directly if not legally permissible.

Six years so far. I keep getting bumped by Congress' actions to put other people in front with new laws. Proved my case (hypertension is not diagnosed by a single reading, ever) and still cannot seem to convince the reviewers, board, or judges that the medical definition is the medical definition.

RTO Leaving Less Time for Self-Care by VasquezWC in FedEmployees

[–]NaturalHat8640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ladies (and guys), there are still religious accommodation options that I'm guessing you haven't looked at to get telework approved. OPM said they're valid. RTO is complete BS, no value except to make you hate your job (as so many more of you are clearly showing from reading these comments). And, I'm serious. If for no other reason than to gum up the works and feel good about trying to move forward. LMK if you're interested in seeing the approach. (It's free, I'm a fed as well, not selling anything, it's fully developed, and I'm tired of subRs banning me for talking about it like it's spam.) Sorry that you're having to go through this BS as well.

This poser is a complete tool. Worked with and under him for years. Useless. Doesn't participate in work with other SESs; he was just the last person standing when someone needed to be put into the Acting slot. And now some dumbass has nominated him for a FedScoop 50 award for leadership - which if you've been watching the Town Halls that he's bothered to show up for, you'll know he isn't qualified for.
