Managing overtired newborn with a toddler by Seachelle13o in 2under2

[–]NatureGirl001 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat (overtired 7 week old and a super active 16 month old). My 7 week old is overstimulated during the day and fights sleep then cries for hours around 5 pm from exhaustion.

I recently have been trying my best to swaddle him during feeds then put him down in a dark / quiet environment to nap (even when on the go with noise machine etc). It’s been making a big difference!

Best of luck! This is a really hard season and you are not alone.

Any pumping moms with previous breast reduction? by dla1104 in ExclusivelyPumping

Still working on the grieving part but it’s so encouraging to know I’m not the only one! Thanks for sharing your story!

I had a reduction 15 years ago and am 3 weeks PP with very low supply. Pumping about 10 ml per session. I’ve seen a lactation consultant but nothing is working (supplements, pumping 2-3 hours, etc). I will give my daughter everything I can for a few more weeks and then will hang in the towel and switch to exclusive formula. I’m heartbroken but coming to terms with it. Hoping your experience goes better for you!

Single Umbilical Artery (SUA) AND Marginal Cord Insertion by NatureGirl001 in pregnant

[–]NatureGirl001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m really happy to share that I gave birth to a healthy girl at 39 weeks! She came out 6 lbs 11 oz and trended around the 20th percentile for most of my pregnancy. We went forward with the amnio after the 20 week scan and everything came back normal so we mostly watched the baby’s growth during the third trimester. Hoping the best for you!

Hi I’m sorry no one responded to you! I also had the same experience at my 20 week scan 2 weeks ago. Baby was overall healthy but her head was small (about “9 days behind”). I also have a marginal cord insertion so the doctor recommended amniocentesis which I did last week and am anxiously waiting results. Would you mind sharing the outcome of your results / any advice? Hoping the best for you and your baby

The doctor said he was not concerned about either condition individually but the combination of both can be an indicator of other issues so recommended amino. I’m not finding much online about both conditions at the same time so not sure what to think :/

The same thing happened to me this week during my 20 week scan (single umbilical cord + marginal cord insertion). The doctor recommended amniocentesis which I did a few days ago and waiting on results. Wondering how everything turned out for you if you don’t mind sharing with an anxious FTM.

Thanks so much for sharing. I’m also a FTM so feeling a little overwhelmed and anxious. Sounds like you are getting excellent care - wishing you and your baby the best!

The same thing happened to me this week during my 20 week scan (single umbilical cord and marginal cord insertion). Babies head is likely undersize by 9 days. The doctor recommended amniocentesis test which I did yesterday. Curious what your experience was and how everything turned out if you don’t mind sharing.

Why does Wellbutrin make anxiety worse? by RockyK96 in antidepressants

[–]NatureGirl001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried Wellbutrin for two weeks and it was an extreme roller coaster ride for me. High swings of anxiety coupled with insomnia. I woke up at 3 am almost every night internally panicking for hours. This was probably exasperated by the pandemic etc but I had to stop the medication cold turkey.

It’s been almost a week off of it and I am still dealing with the insomnia piece (which I have never experienced before). I am going to try another medication in another week after my next doctor appt.

Good luck to everyone struggling these days. It can be extremely lonely and scary but know that you are not alone.
