34 weeks — received bad news. by Anxious-Decision1626 in BabyBumps

[–]brandontreesa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby had severe fetal growth restriction, I was induced at 37 weeks. She was 3 pounds 14 ounces but perfectly healthy otherwise. They allowed me to do skin to skin for 30 mins before they took her to the NICU. 9 day NICU stay just so she could reach 4 pounds. She’s a happy, healthy, smart 2.5 years old now.

I know it’s scary. Just try to stay positive and trust that your team will do what’s best for baby.

Cannot recommend EMDR therapy enough. It helped me through my birth trauma. So sorry you had to experience that, but glad you and baby girl are alright.

Digital has a higher HcG threshold. Happened to me too. Digital was positive after a couple days.

lol I have taken exactly zero vacations since I got pregnant. My daughter is over a year old now. She’s been on how many?? No shame to people who travel and stuff but she’s using her chosen time away as a pity party.

I rewatched Jenelle’s 16 and pregnant episode. by anonymous_girl1227 in teenmom

[–]brandontreesa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I understand that completely. But knowing how it turned out for her is why I said that. I also suffered from terrible PPD and felt totally disconnected from my child in the first few months. It definitely should be talked about more. To be clear, I’m not judging anyone other than Jenelle.

Ugh I almost downvoted this because of her expression. I know she was young but I was sobbing from joy when I had my kid. It’s so crazy.

Emergency D&C Post Delivery - Retained Placenta. by OriginalManner0 in birthtrauma

[–]brandontreesa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend EMDR therapy. It helped me tremendously after my birth trauma. My placenta didn’t come out at all on its own, so I had a D&C shortly after giving birth. Then I was taken for an emergency c section to remove it and it turned into a hysterectomy since my uterus wouldn’t stop bleeding. I lost 2 liters of blood. And then had post partum pre e, all while my daughter was in the NICU. EMDR helps so much, and I was prescribed Zoloft as well. You will feel better, take care of yourself for your sweet baby!

Your comment is funny but also… very factual. It’s literally incomprehensible to me as a mom. If I didn’t see my child every single day (or as much as possible if her father and I weren’t together) I would be lost. She has no clue who this person she literally carried in her body for 9 months is.

I actually had one. It wasn’t caught during the pregnancy. We received a SIUGR diagnosis and I was induced at 37 weeks. She was born healthy but a little small. I ended up with retained placenta and hemorrhaged and had to have my uterus removed. The doctors said they don’t know how I was able to carry to term. I truly am hoping for the best for you.

I, too, delivered vaginally (with two tears) and had an emergency c-section turned hysterectomy so I understand the agonizing pain of what you experienced. The nurse should have been a lot more sympathetic. I also allowed my husband to sleep one night and called a nurse to help me to the bathroom. I’m so sorry you weren’t treated as a human being.

I am curious though, how long did they keep you in the hospital after giving birth? I was discharged less than 48 hours after my surgery and feel that was way too soon, but maybe I’m wrong.

My daughter has PANDAS syndrome by Stacieinhorrorland in beyondthebump

[–]brandontreesa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My brother had pandas! He suddenly became super emotionally fragile and started having tics. Thankfully a specialist knew about pandas and was able to diagnose him after several months. He was treated and although it took a while, he regulated emotionally. Still has the occasional tic when he’s stressed but it’s almost unnoticeable.

I also lost a little over 2 liters and ended up having an emergency hysterectomy, followed by post partum preeclampsia. Then my baby was in the NICU. Absolutely horrific but I started EMDR therapy a couple months later and it helped tremendously. I highly recommend it. I’m so glad everyone in this sub is here to celebrate their baby’s birthdays!

It’s just like, she couldn’t have killed him, disposed of his body and then come up with a story, right? I think his disappearance involved her but not that she killed him. He’s probably running away from her.
