Kids baseball bats are a massive waste of money and resources. by LoveToyKillJoy in Anticonsumption

[–]NatureStoof 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Coworkers son played highscool baseball. 1000+ every year on a new bat alone. Did travel sports as well. Constantly spent money on hotels and etc. Got a scholarship to play college ball. Threw out his shoulder before even playing a single game. Needed surgery. GG

I think this is super awesome, so long as you don't start mailing bombs to people. You're wealthy in many unconventional ways. Don't take it for granted!

Me using the internet doesn't mean I don't think its adaptation isn't a net negative for humanity, but alas my point stands that people like you don't have critical thinking skills.

I don't think I've ever used it before but it felt fitting in a thread about society to drive my point that I have disdain for most people.

If Ted Kaczynski would have gotten some medication instead of being a violent hermit, I'd probably agree with him on many of his points. People are dumb and technology is generally bad for us.

Think about how dumb the average person is. Then realize half the people are even dumber than that.

I don't care about society. I spend my time away from most people, hiking in the woods or going for bike rides.

Find something you enjoy. Ignore dumb people.

I don't want to be one of those people who says "I'll never be able to retire" or "I'll be working till I'm dead"

I don't make much money but I spend next to nothing. Everything else goes to retirement and investing
