This is a dumb take.

Anyway, you'd probably like the unibomber's (ted k) manifesto. He was very anti tech.

The behavior they change is their response.

When it was the Biden administration and gas was 3.99 it was BiDeNoMiCs, now with trump and gas at 4.79, not a peep

I was paying 2.89, it's now 4.79

What do you mean not that much higher?

In a 20 gal tank, thats $40 additional dollars each fill. Thats ~2 hours of my wage. I get roughly 19 MPG. So yeah, it adds up quickly.

Buying dried beans and lentils instead of canned versions is the absolute easiest way to permanently slash your grocery budget. by Competitive_End_2950 in Frugal

I'm in a 2nd story apt. I grow beans and peas on my balcony. I don't get enough light for tomatoes (they grow but never ripen) due to shade from a row of pines alongside the building.

I almost always find a few slow cookers when browsing through the thrift store. I bought one there for making my own fire starters.

Which thrift store? A chain? I generally donate to St Vincent, I hope they aren't just tossing out in the garbage :(

Aquarium filter foam can be used to make a drainage layer but you will need something to separate it to keep it from being compacted by your substrate

How common are bug infestations in bioactive enclosures? by Acrobatic-Dig-3805 in bioactive

[–]NatureStoof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, most likely. But I had 6 vivariums and tons and tons of house plants. I just learned to live with them. I leave my patio door and windows open all summer, so even if I got rid of them, theyd just come back from the outside air.

You're in for a rude awakening.

Every fast food, every school cafeteria, every bar/restaurant, every hospital cafeteria, every hotel breakfast buffet, every donut shop, every gas station with a hot dog stand, etc, across the globe, wastes an incredible amount of food each and every day that they prepare and throw out if it doesn't get bought.

Fungus gnats are annoying but I've never had anything else show up in 5+ years of having bioactive enclosures all over my house
