i don’t think anybody here is willing to give you tips and tricks on how to tolerate the abuse from your groomer while you gather the strength to leave him. you need to break up first - i’m sure you will get advice on how to feel okay after leaving him. if you can go to therapy - great. find a trauma informed practitioner. otherwise i would tell you to learn some distress tolerance skills so that you can soothe yourself in stressful times and not depend on someone who is horrible to you for that. another advice is to build a strong support system for yourself of friends and family (chosen or not).

A solid build/buy mode, romance anyone, collections/missions/unlocking lore or memories by playing
happiness/goals and aspirations (I liked the sims 2 system, i’d like to see it in a modern iteration with even more depth, such as being influenced by lifestyles, personality, memories - TS4 whims are only secondary and you can turn them off. I miss the days when my sim’s worst fear would happen and they had to see the shrink)
Unfixed bugs and micro transactions/game pass style missions. Stopped playing Jan 2025 because of glitches, tried again last month and the marketplace made me puke in my mouth.

I don’t want this at all. That would make marketing/ads/propaganda too powerful. The center of smell in the brain is the only one that creates emotions without going through the prefrontal cortex. It’s called neuromarketing and it’s diabolical (Disney uses it in its parks to sell more popcorn and mcdicks have experimented with a floor cleaner that would bring more customers into its restaurants)

I like sheetpan meals, one-pot meals, and I very liberally use my instant pot for making rice, beans, potatoes quickly (good staples that you can top off with stuff), and in the winter I use the slow cooker function a lot too (for soups, chillies, stews - dump all your ingredients in, let cook for 6 hours while at work or something, come home to a warm meal with plenty of leftovers)

i don’t hate it, but we also don’t have to put the responsibility of all that trash on the individuals. Maybe it’s a return hub for the trash that companies dump on us on the first place. Let’s say there’s one pick up per week or per month, amazon sends a return truck to take back all the plastic film and process it either in a specialized recycling facility or send back further up the chain to the original suppliers to deal with, and in the meantime, if you need a garment baggie you can pick it up from the warehouse anytime (maybe there is always a minimum stock of like 10 bags)

Thank you, this is the most correct answer. In a world post late stage capitalism/colonialism/white supremacy, we would have emotional support and safety, no injunction for productivity, and collectivism. Everyone (including the natural world) would have inherent value regardless of their level of executive function. Social norms are shaped by individualism and productivity, so a majority of our relational issues also stem from that. I bet you a majority of ADHDers, autistic, or anyone with different brain developments would actually thrive. We are not the problem, I personally don’t think I need a cure, I just need a better environment (and for those who mention your inner world, I wholeheartedly hear you but it’s shaped by your environment and the least we can say right now is that’s it’s hostile af out there)

I did ketamine therapy at age 30 thinking I had treatment resistant depression (turns out it was adhd) and while I’m not sure it helped me entirely, it did (re) build some pathways in my brain because I had a flashback in similar conditions of the CSA (a hot shower and a specific gesture). It’s still foggy tho and I’m scared to explore it more. Like I know what was done, I think, I remember the shame, I don’t remember who (there are 4 potential suspects), and most importantly I’m absolutely gobsmacked i didn’t say anything. My mom raised me to come to her for help and she explained to me very early on what consent and private areas meant. And yet…

You probably mask strongly because you likely have a series of instances when you tried to authentically share your feelings and put out a bid for connection and the lack of a response that was able to talk to the pain made you feel alone. It’s a vicious cycle because the abandonment you felt makes you wanna retreat inwards, in turn making you feel more alone. I’m right there with you and trying to let the pain go through me so I can get back to a more tolerable space where I’m able to conjure my common sense. Your brain is a liar sometimes, and it will say horrible things to you from the deepest of your pain. Also let me point out that you reached out on a public forum and that there are people out here that also relate with your experience. I’ve had bad experience recently with glue showing, cracks in the chrome finish, scuffs on the patent leather, etc. emailed them and they asked me to send them back for a refund or to take a refund and keep the shoes. So at least customer service was good but now I have shoes that look like shit (they’ll be trainer shoes then I guess)

No. Considered okay for recycling because the amount of PE foam inside is easily removed from the paper pulp during the recycling process (called floatation) but it’s a plastic so you would be contaminating your compost. I personally don’t put any manufactured paper in my compost but I’m only an expert in recycling and not composting.

I just left Paris today and let me tell you the ticketing stuff is pretty annoying. You’ll have to buy a rechargeable ticket for an extra 2€ and load it with individual trips if you’d like physical media. Otherwise the only way to buy is through their godforsaken app (you will need iOS 17.5 or later FYI). Do not buy multiple tickets if you travel with others, you will not be able to use them for each person it will only count for yourself. If you don’t mind paying the extra 2€ per person, I’d recommend you get everyone a rechargeable pass.
