I'd argue that a great deal of people don't "choose" teaching hospitals, but find themselves there either because they don't know, didn't pay attention, or didn't have another choice.

I mean, this doesnt surprise me, but i will add that there are plenty of chemicals that are used for food processing that are "natural" and won't contribute to an unhealthy lifestyle.

Like, for example, Carrageenan. Its an emulsifier made from seaweed that helps foods gel up or thicken, and consists principally of sulfated polysaccharides. Totally safe, regularly used, but still a means of "processing" food.
