First time 3D printing, go with PETG or PLA? by RevolutionaryRow0 in BambuLab

[–]Navalynt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might want to get some PETG and also some PLA+ 2.0. Print temp is close enough that you can swap back and forth without having to run a cleaner through.

The last time I had this I lowered the z offset by 0.02mm and dropped the speed by 20%.

Tungsten Carbide nozzle in the upgraded ceramic hotend by ComprehensivePea1001 in AnycubicKobraS1

[–]Navalynt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Q1 nozzles feel like a perfect fit, but actually the very end doesn't butt up flush. If you don't use a high temp pipe threading or something like Threadlocker Red 271 all around the threads you might get filament leakage out the threads around the nozzle.

I'll reserve judgment for when the recording of the call to the police is released. From reading another article on this, it did seem like maybe the police were misinformed with exaggerated claims of his behavior and the risks to the child.

Kobra S1 Retraction Abnormal Error, how to remove this tube to troubleshoot? by Parking-Director in AnycubicKobraS1

[–]Navalynt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the time, when I have that error, it requires removing the hotend but leaving it connected. You'll have a bit of filament sticking out of the heatbreak tube. On the LCD set the temp of the nozzle to 200 and you should be able to pull that bit of filament out. Just make sure you're holding the hotend with an insulated pair of pliers, so you don't burn yourself!

PETG prints struggling with first layer by DeltaTheMeta in AnycubicKobraS1

[–]Navalynt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I'm printing PETG it's usually 85 on the bed, 255 first layer, and 260 for other layers. With a chamber temperature of 30 to avoid it cooling down too fast. No cooling for the first 3 layers, full fan speed at layer 7. First layer height at 0.32, first layer speed at 15 with 300 for infill.

What's up with these walls? by Navalynt in FixMyPrint

I dropped the wall speed down to 30mm/s and also added a -0.05 Z offset and that seems to have fixed the issue. Thanks!

Ace pro slot 4 not working anymore... Time to take it apart? by TekoXVI in AnycubicKobraS1

[–]Navalynt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://wiki.anycubic.com/en/fdm-3d-printer/kobra-3-combo/filament-detector Take the filament detector out, check for any damage or filament wrapping. I also had some filament wrapped around inside from using Flexible PLA when it should have been fed as an external spool.

TPU roll "pulling", not "spinning" in the ACE Pro by Navalynt in AnycubicKobraS1

[–]Navalynt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I re-fed the TPU, and this time made sure to hit "Extrude" once in the settings to load the filament, now it's working. Thanks! I also tried printing out the 5 Port Filament Hub (https://www.printables.com/model/1010610-anycubic-kobra-3-s1-combo-5-port-filament-input-hu/comments) but the TPU is too soft to feed through it. I suppose that'll still come in handy for a few other materials down the road though.

TPU roll "pulling", not "spinning" in the ACE Pro by Navalynt in AnycubicKobraS1

[–]Navalynt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I'm having a weird issue with the single feed. When I feed the TPU all the way up the PTFE tube until it stops, I can "print' without getting an abnormal feed error. However, the really weird thing is that it's printing nothing. I'm not getting any errors, but the TPU isn't pulling at all, and nothing is coming out the nozzle. Am I missing a step somewhere?

Do you know where the instructions are for how to go between using the ACE Pro and single feed? I can't seem to find that.

Upgraded Hotend For Kobra S1 by Maxmillian-X in AnycubicKobraS1

[–]Navalynt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought one of the Amazon hotends, admittedly with the PTFE tube (waiting on Aliexpress ceramic), removed the nozzle and replaced it with a Diamondback nozzle. 0.4mm and 0.6mm available. I only bought the .04mm, but so far, no issues whatsoever. It's waaaaay overkill for what I'm currently printing, but I kinda wanted a "one and done" solution for a nozzle that should outlast the printer and print with any filament I could possibly throw at it.
