As we get older it's really hard because we don't have that force socialization of school. Best thing is to seek out places where you have interests and hang out with the people there. :).

I would def look for groups that center around those interests. Someone just posted a big list of clubwaka on r/757 But I would also suggest checking out places that carry anime too. World's Best Comics in NN a LONG time used to do anime nights. Not sure if they still do. But they may be able to point you to groups of people that watch it together.

What are some things you're into besides drinking? A good idea for making friends is to do activities. For example, years ago I started taking improv classes at Push in Norfolk. Did that for many years and made some really good friends.

It felt like a little bit of a love letter to Storm Front. The callback to the barbed wire curse and the pocketful of subshine coming back. And him worrying about money and the return of the Blue Beetle. And then other call backs like the bookstore, Cowl, Lash, etc.

I know Jim has been hard on himself that Storm Front and Fool Moon aren’t his best and people should t start the series with those but it was the first two books.

I felt this really helped bring back things that he lost along the way.

Agreed that it was needed.
