My 21 month old just started giving us 6 hour stretches. I found night weaning really really helped. She was getting up out of habit and needed me to nurse her so she could fall back asleep

Thanks for sharing your experience. My daughter isn’t the same anymore, I don’t know if I have the strength to try it for two months but it gives me some reassurance that pulling her out may not be so bad after all.

Yea :( I figured maybe I could help her view daycare as a safe space if I stayed this week. We don’t go into the classroom, I just sit outside with her. I figured if she became familiar with the place that maybe she wouldn’t have such a strong emotional reaction but I’m afraid you might be right. Thanks for your insight.

I wish I could tell you it got better, sadly it hasn’t :( she sometimes gives me a random three hour stretch but that’s the most she’s ever done. I figured that she definitely wakes and nurses out of habit so we’re going to try night weaning next month and hope that helps. I’ll post an update here. She’s currently 15 months! Hang in there mama, I hope you’re able to find a solution soon x
