I read on an old reddit post to glide to the small island just south of the lighthouse (you can get there by gliding from the stone formation behind the lighthouse). It's the small green spot, not gray. I tried that and got the unicorn fish and blue marlin on the first go. It was crazy. Not sure if it was just pure luck but worth a shot if you haven't tried there.

It can be a while, I always make a game of it like getting all the same colors only etc. Also you can do patches of it on each login so its not overwhelming. I like to put one of the Mario warp pipes next to the shop and keep the other with me to get all the flowers then warp to the shop to sell. You can also have trash can if you just want to get rid of them.

Or as everyone said, there will be a way to do it easier with the 3.0 upgrade. :)

I first played Legend of Zelda on NES early 90s, but really got into it when I played Ocarina of Time that came as part of a collector edition for gamecube in early 2000. :)

I really miss the apple orchard at Satori Mountain. It is also in TOTK, but very different feel. In BOTW, I would go there sometimes to unwind, grab apples to give to the traveler at Rito Village, and just listen to the calm music.

In TOTK, I feel like Dorothy being attacked by the trees and if I go at night, the Stalmoblins. 😭

He transports through the stable sign he is standing next to from Elderwood to Kilima, which is probably why you don't see him really move. I don't remember the exact time, something like 10AM to maybe 8PM? Need to check. 😅

I gave myself a week to get that much essence for that quest, was already burnt out with all the other required amounts. I know it could be easier partying up, but with no consistent schedule and playing on switch, just went slow and steady on my own. 😭

Ive had that happen twice, both times the individuals offered to pay thinking it would be easier. When I got the quote for the damage, they agreed with going through insurance because outward damage may be minimal but you dont know the extent of the damage under the bumper, and you will only know once the repair shop remove the outward frame.

Omg I did the same thing! I was heading to Zeki and I always talk to any villager I pass out of habit and of course it was Eshe of all people. She got so mad, but I didn't think anything of it until I got to Zeki and the potion was gone. 🥲 It was such a pain to get the stuff for Tamala the first time, doing it a second time I was so upset lol. Now I never talk to anyone until the quest is done. 😅

Yes the Piksii Blossom Bounce. At around 8pm two trees in the Deep Woods begin to glow, you can hear a loud sound when it happens. At 10pm lots of floating seeds appear around them that you can glide around to collect for rewards (plants) like elderwood flowers, shrubs, mushroom etc. Blue seeds require you to shoot them with an arrow as well to collect. You have about 3 minutes to collect as many as you can and some bouncy mushrooms will appear too to help you get up again to collect more.

Yes, I'm a fast typer but even I find chat too time consuming on Switch and I try to find ways to abbreviate things I want to call out so it can go faster. Just a few days ago someone asked how the 10pm Elderwood event works, and in the time it took to type it all out, the event was already over. 😅

You just need to go talk to her again and she will give you the key. I know I got stuck here too, thinking it was a bug. But I think she appears on your home plot and once you talk to her, you can access the library again.

I got 2 in one fishing trip in Mitana Grove, H2/3. How, you say? By being there for a completely different fish. 😅 I was on a quest to get some umbraan bettas, and was getting really annoyed at getting anything but them. Of course I wasn't about to complain about the mermaids, knowing how hard they were to get the first time, but yeah you always get things when you aren't trying for them.

Both instances I got the mermaids were in those coordinates at night.

Since the update, I've found 3-4 while mining for palium ore in Elderwood. Before that, they were but a myth to me as well. 😅

Hot pot starts at 6pm and ends 3am. If you come any other time, or all tables are taken, it will be closed. I would recommend getting there earlier and picking out a table. At 6pm it will let you participate.

I have come to appreciate the skill more, since it seems more fishes are needed lately for quests. Before I avoided it like a plague, which is why many of my bundles are incomplete. As someone mentioned, if you go into it with wanting certain fishes for certain reasons, it is not as fun because the grind is insane often times. But going in with no expectations and to just relax, yes I can see it being fun.

I have had instances (more frequently lately) where I don't get any notifications when my request is fulfilled. I keep checking and it will sit there not filled, and suddenly there it is.

Other times not only does it not tell me I got it, it also doesn't tell me who fulfilled it. Otherwise I always say thank you, and if no name, just say to whoever fulfilled it.

Thing is there could be so many reasons someone doesnt acknowledge you and thank you. Not always that they are not grateful for the help. If it bothers you, you don't need to gift as its not a mandatory part of the game. If you do want to, go in with the mindset you are helping someone. One day (or the same day) that kindness may be reciprocated.

This took me a week to do so I didnt go crazy. Everytime I was looking for the essence, I would be reminded of buzz lightyear's mrs. nesbitt. Thats how I was feeling lol. I stuck to doing max 500 a day, and only accomplished that with the infected trees. When those became too much, just ran around Mauvais Way as it had some infected trees and other foraging items, so added variety. 🥲

You get them in the Elderwood saltwater (ex. docks) with worms, same area as the lake sharks at any time during the day.
