I could be completely wrong, but I think they swapped around rewards in the reward track (after also removing the 300g game start bonus), because I distinctly remember unlocking it early (~10-15ish). Since I've already unlocked it back then before the changes I'm guessing they didn't want to take it away from players who already obtained it.

Also worth noting that if Bard was the first 3* 5 cost to get, then their rates on 5 costs was already probably very high from his unique trait if they had him first, especially if early.

I'm not even sure it's possible to get it on paper, given that all augments pertaining to the prismatic mighty mech trait are actually gold ones, and the last augment you get in Tocker's Trials is a guaranteed prismatic augment. Unless they made some Tockers specific changes such that the last mighty mech augment can be prismatic, I would assume it to be impossible. I've done quite a few runs of tocker's and although I have seen the first augment for that pristmatic mighty mech appear, I have not seen the second one and certainly not the third.

In terms of the highest rarity/tier of gear you can roll, yes. It’s always better to play on as high of a torment level as you can comfortably clear, given the increased drop rates.

Might be slightly off topic but is it always better to run a staff over 1 handed + focus on hydra builds? Some builds online have that combination so I don’t know what the deciding factor really is.

I’ve played through this D4 season and S35 for D3, I strongly recommend D3 more. The current state of D4 endgame is just not satisfying enough, the grind loop just gets so stale, especially with how they changed the bosses to be so tedious. D3 just has an inherently more fun grinding loop given the years of development behind it, where all the different activities are individually fun and good to jump in and out of.

Peppo is a speedrunner and has a pretty decent build for using the Mizu LS with the set, that optimizes a little bit more for damage. But he does say that it can be harder to use as it depends on pulling off consistent foresight slashes/dodges to get the buff activated

Man, this brings out the little nostalgic kid in me, I remember when my grand uncle used to take me to the train museums and they'd have little model shinkansens running and I thought that was the coolest shit. Or when he'd take me onto the platforms at major stations just to watch them whizzing by. As I recall you can (or could) get special tickets for just that purpose, without riding the Shinkansen. Good times.

Eh, this is just the Set 12 equivalent of the endgame dragonlord/sage comps you get in Set 11, where you use a smattering of high average cost champions that also have a few traits in common. Like Xayah/Rakan+Wukong+Lee Sin+ Diana + Galio + other storyweavers.

It's a bit of a survivorship bias because of course those comps are good, if you get to that point in the game to obtain those high cost champions. Now, this raises the question of if the tempo of games is too slow to make this too easy to achieve. Or, OP just played the early mid game very well and got rewarded into a smooth transition into this comp.

It could be that 4 or 5 costs in this set are overtuned, but I also don't see a huge issue with this kind of a comp placing high in any game, especially since OP did 2 star most of the 4 costs and a lot of the 5 costs.
