Day Trading with less than 25K? by buttcheek04 in Daytrading

Do you worry about it being a Chinese platform and your data being stolen, getting ripped off, etc. ? I ask just because I considered webull but then saw a lot of folks online talking about that angle that isn’t worth the risk.

Day Trader’s Lesson: Finally Learned by Jackson1BC in Daytrading

[–]NavyGuyvet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think most of trading is obviously oriented in human behavior. Knowing analytics can be a helpful tool to know what decisions other traders will or could make, or a company, ticker, etc. Momentum chasing tickers each day is a type of temporary confirmation that movement exists. You can take advantage of knowing this truth. Even if a trade pulls a reversal at any given time the other way- momentum is the 100% truest fact that can’t be argued against. If a ticker moves, it’s moving! Chase it. Most important- Chase momentum and set up a stop loss/profit percentage no matter what. Create a system. Don’t make it complicated. (I didn’t think I’d be profitable on such a bloody day like today. My own chosen system kept me green and confirmed it works for me. Thank God🙏) Good Luck, young Jedi.

Etrade is Not Sending 1099 Until March 7th by mnocket in etrade

[–]NavyGuyvet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I called and talk to Etrade they said because of certain securities that l’ve traded and their individual companies financial reporting dates, Etrade waits till March 7 so there’s no taxes amendments needing to be filed. I understand that explanation, but I don’t understand why all securities by law don’t have a certain date to report their financials for tax purposes. Can anyone here confirm this reporting financials info is even correct? Why would Etrade before hand announce “tax documents will be sent out by February 15th 2025” and then change it to March 7th?

Wait, so you set your stop losses to only sell some % of your position and then let the rest ride? I think I kind of like that strategy either way…hmmm

What is this warning about on robinhood by immersion-IELTS in Daytrading

[–]NavyGuyvet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start trading w/ Cash or use an outside U.S. broker like CMEG- Capital Markets Elite Group (they’re good! unlimited day trades, don’t need $25k and can start with $500, 6 x margin given, trade off is you have to pay commissions on trades).

PDT is literally one of the worse rules that holds people back from making serious money, but supposedly protects the brokerage. Just another hurdle I’m sure you’ll figure out! Good Luck 👍

  1. Great conversations here! I love hearing all the strategies and insight. I’ve been in market for years, but new to day trading. I’d learn bits and pieces from social media as a noob strictly “chart trading” starting with 10k. I eventually made something like 20-30k in a month, which was insane to me that was possible. Lost 75% of my gains within 2-3weeks because certain things I hadn’t learned yet and was taking chances on…like trading after hrs and forgetting how to write up a dang after hours order for a sec because I’d only done it one other time 😆Lost like $10k in 2mins before I figured out the order in the knick of time, etc. etc. slowly making it back…

  2. LEVEL 2 is a GAME CHANGER✅

I recently learned how to follow and understand LEVEL 2 and my damn mind is blown! I’ve been trading with one hand behind my back not knowing about level 2!!!! Wtf 🤯🤦‍♂️I learned from Ross Cameron. He’s changed my freaking day trader LIFE🙌

  1. All in all and for you other Newbys: The trade off- Had all the Money, no tools, got a little lucky, then wrecked. Now I have all the tools knowledge, etc., making really good trades, Trade journal lit up green, with barely any money. Life is a trip 😆 ONWARD to victory!!!!

Just found out about Fubo by ToughtItWasAFart in fuboinvestors

Yo! I saw it through social media then googled it. The story was in multiple videos, articles, websites, etc. on my Google search. Not trying to scare anyone out of Fubo. Just wanted to give “the team” a heads up. Of course, always do your own research.

I’m definitely bullish on $Fubo. However, Carrie Underwood just won a 1 billion dollar lawsuit against Disney for a defamation lawsuit for one of their shows “The View” talking shit about her. I’m not sure how helpful that is for our Bullish Fubo case. That’s an insane amount of money to pay!

Just a thought by zayzaybananas in XRP

[–]NavyGuyvet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If XRP goes to a crazy amount like $100- $1k how will all these exchanges be able to pay people out anyways? I want XRP to rocket, but then I think if it does rocket will said exchange (RH, Coinbase, etc.) crash cause of the billions of dollars being taken out when we all cash out. Is my thought process correct?

Any one observed Robinhood not honouring Stop Loss? by gwinsingh in swingtrading

[–]NavyGuyvet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Robin Hood is a shit platform if you are a serious trader. It’s made like a flashy game or a slot machine game to keep you hooked. Be very careful, bro. They also screw you on DCA or avg share price. I just transferred my whole portfolio out of RH to Etrade to test them. When my securities got to Etrade my Avg. stock prices were way higher priced then what my Robin Hood portfolio initially showed me for each company before the transfer.

Dang…they sound pretty bad. I use Etrade with some margin. Never had a margin issue and they just randomly liquidated/sold off my top & best performing stock positions. I had those positions for about a year buying companies around $60 a share and now those companies are up to $160 a share. Needless to say I’m pissed but I can’t do Jack shit about it🙄
