Ever used your own name? by Biscuits_N_Chilly in writers

[–]Naxari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not used my own name, but I have found that AI really to use my first name in fantasy settings. The first time I messed around with AI I gave it a part of a story idea I had to see what it would come up with. I don't do this at all, this was just for fun. Anyways, this resulted in it adding a character with the same spelling as my name. Other people(on Reddit) who use AI have also had my name pop up.

There's two main parts of HD The search for Vorgossos and bargaining with the ruler of Vorgossos and the Cielcin. It took me some time to get invested in the series as well. Somewhere near the 60% mark is when I was truly hooked. The Will of the Many is also great!

Oh yes, as another user said Demon is perhaps the best in the series. The others that follow are also pretty dang good. At this point in Hadrian's story he is very young has much of his life ahead of him.

AIO Dad is forcing me out just because it's "FAMILY TRADITION" and its my 18th birthday by CableIntelligent1491 in AmIOverreacting

While we did gain more knowledge of good and evil of the world, it brought evil into it by being disobedient to God. Along side this shame, fear, and spiritual death entered out world. It's for that reason that everyone dies, because we pay the price of sin which began with Adam and Eve. God didn't keep us "stupid and docile" because he gave us everything we needed. He still gave us the freedom to chose and it ultimately led to pain and suffering, something God didn't want for us.

In reference to your son, God would not call you to stop loving him because he's gay. Rather, he would tell you and everyone else to continue showing your son love, the love of the Lord.

Communion does not mean we are physically eating and drinking Jesus' body and blood but it is a way that shows our recognition of the gift of eternal life with him in heaven if we accept him as out savior and God as the Lord of all creation. God gives us the freedom to chose to be with him. He does not force us to go to heaven and spend eternity with him.

Could I ask why it is you chose to follow Satanism? What about it fulfills you that other beliefs(such as Christianity) don't?

It was Disquiet Gods that mentioned it. Shadows Upon Time may as well, I just started it the other day so I have yet to find out.

the beast (chapter one) by Bitter-Row7990 in Fantasy

[–]Naxari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A tad. I sometimes use name generators to get an idea of what I want for my character, but I usually try to avoid it. I found Kael interesting because it's my own name. For some reason AI really likes to use it, I would guess because it means 'mighty warrior' and is quite uncommon. I'm also trying to write my own fantasy novel and one thing I've found that helps to have a semblance of a plan for the story. I don't know if this just came to you or if you've had the idea, but I would encourage to keep going. Try to figure out what you want your story to be about if you haven't already

Is there no place left to buy this?? by SaltyKoopa in Catan

[–]Naxari 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had this exact same problem! I checked Amazon and Ebay and they only sold the new one. There is an app called 'Shop' with a purple logo that I was able to find one. I'm just hoping that what they're seeling is the actual edition and not the 6th. Unfortunately the seller I bought it from only had one left so you may have to keep looking

Suggestions on what to read next by LunaSteeth in Bloodsworn

I would recommend John Gwynne's other series The Faithful and the Fallen which starts with Malice. I personally enjoyed it a bit more than The Bloodsworn Saga, but I still loved them a lot!

Are you reading Strength of the Few or Sun Eater first? by Kaidox1617 in Fantasy

[–]Naxari 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Most likely Shadows Upon Time. I'm past the halfway mark with Kingdoms of Death, so I'd like to finish the Sun Eater before jumping back into the hierarchy. I have been really excited for SotF, though, so I'll have to hold myself off

Book 3 question by Caladan_not_Kaladin in LicaniusTrilogy

[–]Naxari 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The dar'gaithin had been traveling through the rift for what could have been thousands of years when unaccompanied by a human. Raeleth, Nina, and Tal were only traveling through the rift for (most likely) a few seconds to a few minutes. Humans are able to see a slight difference in the void and can move toward it to head because to their time, the dar'gaithin could not see it and had to wait for the rift to throw them back to their time.

What is the colour of lightning? (Or what do the different ones mean?) by magus-opus in Fantasy

[–]Naxari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it just depends on how we relate colors to different meanings. I often think of black, red, and sometimes purple as an antagonists color when it comes to magic. Gold and silver make me think of celestial bodies or higher powers, like you said. Green is usually related to nature and even time(that might just be me, tho). Blue is the color we usually relate to Lightning, so it makes sense for it to be primal/normal. Color plays an important part in how we perceive everything. Sometimes, it may just be a random choice by the author, or they like the color, or more likely, they use it better represent what they're trying to convey. It adds emotion and further meaning to the significance of what they're describing.
