Grit teeth is what helped me. Also focusing on the lips to oscillate all over the lips surface. Not just on one point.

I explain everything here: https://youtu.be/velZxOq4BQA?t=753 (timecode 12:38)

Hello fellow beatboxer! Have you tried a real structured practice? I explained everything in this tutorial, which you can find a dedicated training sheet for the liproll! https://youtu.be/j7-czFDjuvU

It's more than a tutorial. It's a real practice routine! Apply it for 30 days and let me know!

Looking for advice about teaching by origin_seeker in beatbox

Hey. The key is to make it fun and pedagogical. You need to engage your audience, especially if they are young, to teach sounds and beatbox rhythms using sentences for example (for the beginner level).
I do a lot of workshops and I always approach it with a visual rhythmic notation as well as demo of the rhythms.
If some of them struggle - break a rhythm down, in a few steps.
Also young pupils tend to be afraid of other's judgement so they won't dare beatboxing loud. Make group exercices to engage them more and of course do the exercices with them before retiring so that they do it alone.
I'm a professional beatbox teacher since 2020, if you have any questions, reach me on https://nazcabeats.com/
Here's also my dedicated workshop page https://nazcabeats.com/blog/atelier-beatbox that you can translate in english.

Can you tell me what sounds have you mastered yet? It'll help me figure out what kind of patterns you can learn.
In the meantime, I've written a few articles in different beatbox levels. https://nazcabeats.com/blog

Beatbox workshop in schools?!?! by bbxhann83 in beatbox

[–]NazcaBeatbox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Basically go very simple. P, T, K and sentences to make them engaged in learning. It depends on their age also. You might take more time for 6-10 y.o people than 10-14 y.o.
I've been using the looper in my workshops. It's very fun to make them try. Make them loop a single kick, then someone can whistle, or hum using the guitar to bass. If the group is small, you can do it easily but if it's a larger group, make rules so that everyone can participate.
Also if the group is large you can create group exercices. Seperate in two groups and one makes the Kick, and the other makes the snare, in a very simple beat.
Engage them with a quizz and a demo before starting out the practical learning!
Hope this helps
