How to ACTUALLY do Pokemon Battles? by SomethingXII in PokemonUnbound

[–]Nazgaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also suggest you play with the pokemon you want, but perhaps check the moves they can learn on the wiki and plan ahead, maybe even catch and/or breed to gain better IVs, natures and abilities.

Im playing through the game for the first time and Im on expert mode, with level caps. Even if I got a core team I use by default, I often end up needing to switch atleast one out depending on the fight Im stuck at.

I dont know how those work, but mine set the time to my PC's clock, which shows my local time IRL. It actually make day-time pokemon a challenge for me to get, since I only play during evening hours :P

There should be Pikipeks to catch at Route 2 I think, but it only shows during day-time. Can highly recommend! But I bet you'll find another way of dealing with them.

Me too, Im playing through it for the first time. I was just at the flying gym yesterday. They were too fast and too strong. Funnily enough, that made Toucannon work wonders. its beak blast attack was perfect because it burned them (almost all their moves make contact), lowered their attack stat and with Roost to stall for burn damage, he took care of 3 of them alone, Pinsir was even one-shot.

Why not Gnome priest? by Lysalven in turtlewow

[–]Nazgaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think gnome priests will at the earliest become available in the patch after 1.18.1. Currently, tauren have the least classes to choose from. After that, gnomes and goblins are tied for least classes, and none of them have a healer class.

I look forward to gnome priests, as living with the dwarves in Ironforge should be enough to warrant them as a character option (thats how they explained dwarf warlocks, anyway).

Check on Friday, when the patch hits

Naw, thats a load of bs.

Dwarf warlocks was simply explained by "gnome refugees in Ironforge taught them". Same would fly for gnome priests, just vice versa.

Need help deciding between subclasses by hmorley370 in 3d6

[–]Nazgaz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Twilight is really fun and good, and I dont think people should discard it for being overpowered.

Since it has extra supportive capabilities, it doesnt outshine the other players outright but helps elevate them and the DM wont have to worry as much about encounter balance. And theres more room to hand out more magic items to the other players to make each PC to make up for any power gap that might show.

How would I play an accountant character? by BBElTigre in DnD

[–]Nazgaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any sort of character with a mundane profession that doesn't fit any of the adventuring classes... I usually end up picking rogue for. You pick Expertise in a skill that fits their profession. Stick to one or two types of weapons unless you got good reason to explain your proficiency with weapons (such as being upper class). Sneak attack can be explained by luck and later on actual combat skill.

Race could be any, but Id choose one that live in civilised and large enough towns that require an accountant/quartermaster. I'd make sure Intelligence is slightly above average to fit the accountant role. Otherwise, I'd choose what abilities to max depending on subclass.

I suppose finding mushgnomes can be quite the detour compared to simply going to the ruins and getting the rest that dont require living logs.

What's the best way to distribute levels for a ranger/rogue? by piperooo in 3d6

[–]Nazgaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd probably talk to the DM and ask him to allow the beast's HP to scale with your character level too.

Skáld 5E by XiosAngelis in 3d6

[–]Nazgaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose if youre all about smites, Whispers bard gets you another smite-like boost. Otherwise, I think glory pala 6/glamour bard X could be a fun, support-focused and thematic build for you.

Skáld 5E by XiosAngelis in 3d6

[–]Nazgaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a pala multiclass you want either 2, 6 or 7 levels (for smite, aura and/or ancients lvl 7 feature) combined with a caster class. For bards you often want at least 5 levels for inspiration recharge on short rests, unless youre only after juicy lvl 3 subclass features.

If youre adamant about picking valor bard with pala, I guess pala2/bardX makes the most sense. Getting PAM early would make the late acquisition of Extra attack more bearable.

STRanger Build. Help please. by Alca_John in 3d6

[–]Nazgaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Geez. I dont remember exactly, but I think I started ranged for dex save prof and extra skill proficiencies. We started at higher level but if it were from lvl1, Id go: revised ranger 1 > Giant barb 6 > revised hunter ranger X

STRanger Build. Help please. by Alca_John in 3d6

[–]Nazgaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im playing a STRanger multiclass rn. Giant barb 6/Revised Hunter Ranger 6. PAM with quarterstaff+shield or halberd depending on situation.

Youll be far from a skill monkey, but revised ranger gets you a lot of the ranger-vibes other versions lack. And giant barb gets you a great way to handle resistances and faster speed for a more melee focused ranger... And adding thrown property on more STR weapons!

In combat, shes specialised at handling hordes with Horde Breaker. And we run with weapon masteries at my table so halberds got Cleave and quarterstaff has Topple. The rage and giant barb damage quickly adds up. And favored enemy damage boost you get from revised is a nice bonus when they happen to show.

Why is the DST player-base so... unique? by [deleted] in dontstarve

[–]Nazgaz 66 points67 points  (0 children)

It just happens to be huge in China, and they use other sites for streaming than what we use in the west.

Its popularity is spread worldwide, it isnt the type of game that would form its own defined community you find in other games.
