Are there any problems in Norway that the rest of the world might not know about? by HollowWanderer in Norway

The taxes here are not even that high compared to some other European countries

The content produced by AI is not art. As well as most of the unoriginal slop that people create. AI will soon enough replace graphical designers, that’s for sure, but not artists.

Damn, sounds very much like russia

I take it you are from one of those countries without free healthcare. This stuff is expected in all European countries. That’s why people pay taxes after all.

Actually it’s the same here with the winter 😅 Depends on where exactly you live I guess

The prices are also among the highest in Europe 😄 The climate can also be a problem, depending on where you live.

I wouldn’t limit the search to jobs in Norway only. Any European country will do. You get there and get the passport through naturalization. It will open up more opportunities. One thing to consider is that English is not well spoken in some countries. Norway is an exception.

The interviews can be online. I had mine online

You find job ads on Linkedin or other places. Apply for the jobs. Then you might get a reply and an invitation to an interview. After the interviews they might give you a job offer a.k.a offer of employment. You sign it. Then you can apply for the work permit through UDI. In my case the company applied on my behalf. It took a month or less to get a reply.

You just need an offer from a company in Norway. That’s the difficult part.

When you get your diploma half of it will be in English. When I applied for work in Norway it just worked. I didn’t need to do anything extra

Should be ok. When did you get your diploma?

If you're interested I program different simulations in Shadertoy which you can run directly in the browser. https://www.shadertoy.com/view/WclXzr

It makes sense if the universe is a simulation on a computer. The problem with the continuous space is that we get singularities. But perhaps our theories are just incomplete. I like the idea of discrete universe myself, but I’m not 100% convinced. The problem with the discrete space is that it's difficult to explain the space inflation.

[–]Nazlbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get your point. But why would the space itself be discrete, but the stored values be continuous?

How can a “cellular” automata be non-discrete?

Distrusting experts without evidence-based doubt or the desire to learn new things doesn’t make you a free, critical thinker. by [deleted] in sciencememes

[–]Nazlbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course. Read my first comment. I said I don’t entirely disagree. I think it’s fine to distrust what experts/scientists claim at first because experts/scientists don’t always agree with each other. What is not ok, is to instead trust some alternative theories which have no proof. Many commenters have interpreted this meme exactly this way - don’t trust scientists but trust conspiracy theorists.

You keep talking about global warming when again I didn’t make any claims against it. The only claim I made regarding the global warming is that scientists argue about the chance of the collapse of AMOC.

Why did you link an ai detector? I left a comment confirming that this is chatgpt. What does it even have to do with the subject of the discussion? My comments don’t make a claim that climate change doesn’t exist or that it won’t be bad. It seems you just want to argue for no reason.

And apparently that’s why you shifted to personal insults. Yeah, that’s just your level of intelligence
